Need help with writing a letter

I need help with writing a BSL letter but audience will not be state/city officials but to the Board of Directors of my local county Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) shelter. The state OK rejected BSL on Pitbulls and they do have vicious dog laws in place in my county but up until the last month the local SPCA would not accept any pitbulls from owners wanting to surrender then (even puppies). Apparently one of the members warned the board they could be sued for BSL by accepting all breeds - except pitbulls. Well they still haven't changed practices internally. They still euthanize all Pitbulls (before it was just strays' brought in by animal control or found ones) and do not adopt any of them out if they are not reclaimed within 72 hrs.

They now accept pitbull owner surrenders but still they euthanize all pitbulls or ones even look like part pitbull. Please help me draft a letter as this is a sad sad situation and appears to me to be BSL situation.

Why don't you go ahead and draft the letter, and then, perhaps, other members can assist you in fine-tuning it? You know your SPCA and area better than we do :)

I agree with that practice personally, it means less will be in the hands of irresponsible people.
