I'm wondering if the breeders and rescues the OP has met with believes the OP can't handle a bully breed. OP said they have spent months contacting rescues and ethical breeders, but none will give him the time of day. Maybe there is a good reason they don't want to give the OP a dog. Most backyard breeders will sell a dog to anyone with the cash which is why OP sees this breeder as his only option. Just a thought.

If the OP's last couple threads give even a remote indication of what they're like when they contact breeders, I'm pretty sure you're on to something.

Absolutely not... No Military, (House/Fenced Perimeter/1 Acre, Homeowners INS Verified and No Neighborhood Convenience)

Keep hating though and I haven't been turned down... the problem is the Foster parent of the one we wanted didn't want to let go of him...

The dogs we met in AL were not socialized very well/6months old from a Rescue can send anyone the info on her for verification of our family talking to them etc... if there is any doubt feel free to PM privately and I will reach out to you if anyone has a breeder or potential upcoming litter knowledge. Feel free to reach out to FireHazard... as stated I spoke to him for almost 3 hours and almost purchased his last Male Pup.

Senfinger... let me check around. Did you check with Hearts of Gold rescue in Memphis? I know a guy there that helps rescue and rehome dogs of all ages and colors. I also know a guy in Alabama, if you are willing to drive that far?? Let me know. I will check around for you, but I'll let you know up front, it will probably be a rescue, and don't know what age. With that said, I have a dog that was dumped in the country where I live. I took him in about 2 days before he was going to be taken to AC and euthanized. He was 4 years old at the time and I was going to "foster" for 2 weeks until I could get him into a home. I've now had him 3 1/2 years and he is one of the best dogs I've ever had. He's about 7 years old now, still acts like a pup, and "looks" like a pure bred APBT, he is "cut" better than the other 2 dogs that I have that are APBT mixes. He has the best temperament and is wonderful. I was looking for him a forever home, and all the while, he had found it, I just didn't know it at the time. :hearts:

Mollie's Nana- Just PM'd you back. Thanks so much for the post/pm. I was frequenting the Rescues for specific APBT as they have all been awesome just haven't seen anything come up that made me want to jump other than the ones in AL. The sad part is they were being Fostered by someone who already had 3-4 dogs and they weren't able to give either dog the time of day and they had tons of bad habits right off the beginning. Would prefer a puppy or young and highly socialized as I already will have my work cut out for me on the introduction of our female yorkie and blending them. More then willing to go to AL... Met an awesome APBT Rescue there called: PEACEFUL PITBULL HS ALABAMA.

There's one there called Bully Bama Rescue. I know they are on FB, but I don't know a "whole" lot about them. They always have dogs and pups, so they may be willing to help you find oen that will fit in your home. It's not impossible, but it may take some looking, but if you really want one, you'll find the one that fits. =)
