Can anyone suggest or pm me? Willing to travel for one- would prefer rescue or on the up and up kennel and not a mill or crazy mixed lines. (Mostly Blue/ &White specific)

Thanks in advance for your help! Hoping to find the right fit for our family.

have you tried looking up ADBA events in your area?

Looks like there might be a Nashville one and Memphis. Probably going to try and make the Nashville one to ask around and possible look. Emailed the Event Coordinator already.

There is a great rescue in Memphis, Hearts of Gold Pit Rescue, that pulls from the city of Memphis "shelter". Might be worth looking into. Goodluck on your search!

Thanks and much appreciated I was looking at them this AM. Almost bought one yesterday but found out it was a American Bully (Puppy is hard to tell vs. Adult)... Learning soooo much!

Follow gators post in your other thread and contact HOGPR about any older dogs that have been fostered with kids and smaller dogs. Don't get in a hurry with your decision on a dog... Especially considering you are wanting a bully breed to successfully coexist with your current small breed dog. Goodluck!

I do have a question which papers are generally good to go with? As I know some of these are easy to get around the required criteria.

No sarcasm, just letting you know that threatening to go to a BYB for a pup isn't going to get you far here.

Just because a dog is registered with AKC, UKC, ADBA, whatever, doesn't mean it's "good". Puppy mills usually register their dogs with AKC.

Many thanks for the paper info... I see tons of AKC and believe that is easy loophole one. After dealing with Hip Dysplasia on our little Yorkie I hear you! = )

CKC the same as well (In terms of circumvention)

Seriously... If you can morally justify buying a dog from an unethical breeder do it. Expecting anyone on this forum to do the months and many times years of research and work it takes to find an ethical breeder is asinine.

Sorry but right now I very highly doubt a good breeder would sell you a dog. I think that you need to slow down and do more research before getting ANY dog, for multiple reasons, not the least of which is the fact that in your other thread you claimed that you have to get a blue or black dog because your family members are scared of Pit Bulls in other colors. It's fine not to like certain colors in dogs, but if your family members are actually INTIMIDATED by these dogs, that needs to be addressed before one, in any color, comes to live with you. The threats to "go to a BYB" are also a huge turn-off. It isn't a good breeder's job to sell to an unprepared home just to avoid them going to a BYB for a dog, and I personally wouldn't feel guilty or responsible in the slightest if you did.

Regardless, the same applies if the dog is going to be spending enough time around these people that you feel pigeon-holed into a certain color in an attempt to avoid them seeing the dog as "scary."

You won't get ANYWHERE with that attitude. If you want a dog from a reputable breeder you need to put in the effort, not us. We all know great breeders but, I can assure you no one is willing to hand them over to just anyone. If the color matters that much to you go get your byb mutt. A good breeder does not breed for color. When you do your research and come back here with specific bloodlines you like maybe someone would be willing to assist you. Go research dogmen of the past, read about bloodlines, stories, attend shows, talk to dog owners at events, make friends who know what they are talking about. Your going about this ALL wrong in every one of your threads. If you were smart you would call the BYB and say your backing out of the litter. Why is two weeks your limit? You will not find a reputable breeder and litter to purchase a dog from within two weeks. Some people wait years for the perfect dog. A reputable breeder will usually have every dog sold BEFORE they are born. That is why I recommend doing research and really get to know the type of dog you want. When you know what you want, then you can find a future litter, put a deposit, and have a dog in the near future. You rushing this process will only cause you to possibly regret your decision one day.
Why do you think members here (or anywhere) would be so willing to hand over reputable breeders, to an owner that has not proven themselves worthy of owning such dogs? Do you even know what breed you want?

If your family is afraid of these dogs in any other color, GET ANOTHER BREED! Fear of your own dog's breed is ridiculous. I am not sure your making a smart decision.
