Meet Jor, (or Jory), short for Jörmungandr (Your-muhn-gun-dar ) Just think of "Your"

I chose that name because Jor is unsexed, I didn't want to say "him" or "her" and I definitely didn't' want to call Jor "it"

So, I did something stupid as some of you might know and stopped by Petco. Saw a extremely tiny baby who was clearly skinny and under the weather. I couldn't do anything then so I went home and went through my stuff, I had all I needed to set up another tank. (The extras came in handy!)
I didn't want to pay the store, but I was unable to convince them to release him since he was clearly sick and not eating. So.. I cracked and ended up paying for him. $40. Hoping to nurse him back to health and rehome him.

Jor's 2 grams, and maybe 9 inches long, more like 7. Veeeeery small.
So, without further ado, little Jory.

Snapped a picture when I was moving Jor to his/her tank. My hands are quite small.

    Jor's set up for now

Sigh, I'm having a hard time not saying "him" lol

Got Jory today, maybe 2-3 hours ago. Going to let Jory chill for the first few days and go from there. Hopefully start trying to feed him on day 2.

how is Jory doing? very adorable little it.

My friend that still has my baby Xanis (might let her keep her since her old girl Zim is over 10, oh yea they are leo Geckos, both female), she rescued a baby leo from petsmart, talked them into half price since it was missing its tail. I am planning on either getting Xanis back or buying maybe 2 at the reptile show in August if I can afford them (and if they are handleable, Xanis was really fiesty and still is but my friend hand tamed her pretty well)

He's relaxed a lot today, before he kept rubbing around the edges of the tank, wouldn't settle. But I've caught him chillin' in his hides several times now. Which is good! The employees thought it was good that he was crawling around >_< ... uhm no, that's stress.

If you get Xanis back we better get pictures :)

Yeah... I reeeeaaaly need to stay out of them. My plan is to cut up a pinky mouse into quarters.

Yup, pinkies :) Pieces until he gets a bit bigger.

It was already dead if that helps :3 I feed frozen/thawed. I dun do live feeding, too risky for my tastes.

Thank you :3 his colors will change drastically as he ages though.

Good visual of what he'll probably look similar to as he ages

Seems like chopping up a frozen pinkie wouldn't be that bad...
Glad the little one ate :)

That TEENY little guy was for sale at Petco! I have never seen such a small snake in their cages.

Thanks for giving him a chance! :)

Cut's like frozen ice cream, get it in the right spot and it's quite easy. :)

You could right click the picture, select "Copy Image Location" and paste the link :)

I know, I was so surprised to see him in there. The smallest hatchling I've seen from breeders I know were 4gs.

Another size comparison, and my hands aren't big (I'm 5'2). He also put on a gram! :)

He's getting more spunk to 'im! That's a good sign, means he's getting his energy back.

I fed him the other half. I knew his body could physically take a whole one, but I wasn't sure he had the energy for it. (which seemed to be the case, he struggled with the first half, a little better this time). Also the paper's there to prevent him from ingesting the substrate. Normally I wouldn't care but he's so itty I don't want to risk it.

    That's a nice little snake :)

I know nothing of snakes really, how big will he get?

Most corns I know grow to be around 4-5 feet, some reaching 6. But I wouldn't be surprised if he's well under that due to stunted growth.

No pictures yet, but he gained another gram, got a bit longer, and filled out a bit. He's not as delicate anymore.
