So apparently Griffin has fans who want to see pictures of him. I told him this, and he said he could pose for just one, while he's lounging on his deck chair.

Fortunately, I also had another shot from a few months back that I was saving for dog of the month, but since his fans are clamouring, here he is, hoping hubby will throw his ball already!

He thanks you all for your adoration, and now he's going back to lay in the sun since it finally stopped raining!

He looks great, i wasn't sure what to expect from the lanky pup pic in your avatar. He looks like a big boy. Very nice looking dog.

Thanks, I think he is so handsome, but I'm biased and really just crazy about him! Best dog I've ever known, he has my heart.

He was really goofy looking for a while there! That avatar pic was a day when he couldn't seem to make any of his limbs work right, he was all gangly and scattered. The next day, he was balanced out again. They change so fast when they're little! He's almost 4 now, and I hope he is done growing, because he is big- 78 lbs!

This is funny to look at- three years ago, still growing into that head:

He really loves that chair. It's on our patio all year, but he watches for the cushion to come out and after that happens, it's his for the next few months.

He had to wait there for hours until the smoked turkey was done, it was a real ordeal for him. ;)

Thanks, I am lucky to have such a great boy!

Dog of the month was fun, it got everyone sharing pictures which are like crack for me, looks like for everyone else, too! Probably a lot more work to manage, though, on top of all the rest of the forum work.

He really went through a growth spurt at about 2 1/2 years old, I was surprised, I thought he was done growing at around 65 lbs. He could be a bit leaner, he still is at winter shape since it only just started getting summery here. But he is just solid, he's only half an inch taller than my mom's lab, but 25 lbs heavier somehow.

He needs a new collar, that's the bummer about the fabric overlay ones, the structural part is strong, but the decoration gets shredded. I love the sugar skulls, they seem like him, looking scary but actually quite sweet. And you can't have too many collars!

    He is a handsome boy!

If we can get someone to take over the contest, it can come back, it just got to be too much for me.

I remember some of his more proportionally awkward pictures. He filled out nicely.

I guess I hadn't realized it had been so long since I had put up pix, which is ironic because he seemed awkward forever, and then suddenly looking at a picture I took of him, I realized he had gotten all buff when I wasn't looking. So, I took that second lounge chair picture up above, when he looks all young and skinny with a big head- that was in June of 2014. That August, he looked like this:

I didn't even notice the superhero chest until I looked at that picture later. It just sneaks up on you!

Derek, you created a monster asking for pictures of my Griff!

I'm gonna see if I can find some of his old pics. That's a huge growth spurt at 2 lol my girlfriend will kill me if that happens to Rocco. I'd like to see him get a little taller. It's wishful thinking I know. That will put him 63-65 pounds. I'll have to take him for walks hooked to the front of the truck.

I ordered the black/green trimming sugar skull one for my boy from StillWater. I would show you but it's not here yet... :p It's not martingale style just regular 5ply flat but his stuff is STURDYYYYY if you wanna check it out.

He is buff and all handsome. I like his ears in the last photo! LOL

I guess I never scrolled all through Stillwater's listings before, I didn't realize they had so many patterns! I'll message to see if they do martingales, although Griff might be ok with a regular collar now. For a while, his neck was out of proportion to his head, and he would slip out of collars, but I think he's evened out now. It's like growth focuses on one part for a few days, and ignores the rest of the dog, then moves on to pump up somewhere else!

I love his ears, they are completely silly and usually go in different directions, and they make me smile.

Thanks, I am really happy with how he grew up, although I'd probably love him just as much if he stayed goofy, too. It is fun watching dogs change from puppy to adult, although the puppy pics always make me miss puppy Griffin.

It's nice to see people that care about there dogs like you do. He's a great looking dog, you should post pics more often. You don't need a special reason here.
