Mini EBT Breeders?

Discussion in 'Bull Terrier' started by Transvegetable, Jul 3, 2014.

  1. I suppose there are about a million and a half of these posts here already, but I am hoping somebody can point me in the direction of a breeder that fits my specific criteria?
I'm going to keep this short, but essentially I am looking for a Miniature English Bull Terrier breeder that does all the good stuff like health testing (hips, eyes, etc.) and that has titled their dogs in something other than in the show ring. I'm looking for dogs with the bully attitude but a milder structure. I am not looking for "old time" dogs or whatever, I am looking simply for balanced dogs. Structure plays a big role in how I choose my dogs as I am involved with multiple performance dog sports and I have been watching for a long time how structure affects the dog's movement and how it can minimize or maximize the stress put on the dog's joints.
I don't expect to find mbt breeders producing performance dogs, but I would like to find a reputable breed with modest dogs that are not over done. Turn offs for me include: overweight dogs (this is more of an individual dog thing I know, but it reflects to me how the breeder maintains and works their dogs and it's also simply a personal peeve, though obviously not a deal breaker.) , super over done dogs, dogs with swayed backs, dogs with excessively straight rears and dogs with a lack of angles all together. These are all things I notice that crop up in the breed and things I would love to avoid in my dog search as I am 100% smitten with these dogs and have been for years, I am just weary (perhaps overly) of structure and health.

    Thanks for your help!

Look up who's been placing in the AKC and follow those bloodlines. I can assure you those dogs are not just fluffing the pillows on the couch.

*They're just Miniature Bull Terriers, no English!
  3. Thanks for correcting me, force of habit!
I'll check out those lines, thanks.

    Start here:

Look for the breeders nearest you and contact them, let them know what you are looking for.
Club members and breeders know who is who in the show ring and breeding world of there breed and will be able to lead you in the right direction to help you find the mini bull for you.

Even if the breeder you contact doesn't breed the mini bulls you are looking for, they will be able to help you find what you are looking for.

Good luck! let us know how the search goes!
