One day it's ten years, one day it's 9, one day it's 14 years, one day it's vague and "over 10 years.......make up your mind. Just how long you been breeding them things? More of that talking in circles that makes you so dizzy!

setting aside all the running in circles, you admit to the fact theres not enough evidence and you will continue to breed unless evidence shows otherwise..line or not that sums up how you are as a breeder and how you dont care enough for the breed. oh and last time i checked wallace hillbilly was not proven to be merle. due to the quality of the shot and lighting it appears to go either way, its not solid. not to mention unless you can shiw proof of lineage and where the owner stated it is merle even if it was merle, and thats a big if, it wouldnt be proven its not mixed....sorryy for anyy typos im on my phone on a break

I believe in an article by Stratton he states Hillbilly was Brindle... someone can double check on that.

ColbyDogs: Well, perhaps you could call them rare if you wish. While I do breed them, my breeding program never revolved soley around them. Rather quite the opposite. I have bred more non-merles than I ever have merles. But maybe I shall change all that. Maybe I will start breeding all merles, all the time, do nothing with them, market them as rare & charge $1000 a pup for them. Perhaps some of you would be happy & you could then actually have some valid complaints about me.

Thanks for the smile ColbyDogs, I needed it! :)

EDIT: Sorry guys, I did not see your other posts.

ColbyDogs: Since you are all up in my business, the meds are for my seizures. Care to make any jokes about that?

Tony Owen: No there is no hard evidence. There is proof for both sides, which is why I stated "know your line." There are two lines that have been proven mixed. Several others that have not. But why should I stop breeding what is thus far a purebred line b/c it "may" be mixed? If that were the case almost everyone here would have to stop breeding APBTs b/c I doubt there is a line anywhere today that does not have an error in it somewhere. Heck, some are KNOWN to be mixed being bred, but no one is on here jumping up & down about those.

    Schwe: I agree.

BRZLNGODDESS: I haven't read the article about Hillbilly, just examined the picture. But then again when I first posted my picture of my first brindled merle Sasha, everyone raved about what a cute "brindle" I had - until I told them she was a merle! :p

Oh well have more fun. I am off for a while.

---------- Post added at 05:59 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:41 PM ----------

But to answer your question, I got my first APBT around '84 (as a gift from a dogman, family pet, pure Colby dog. lol). I got my first APBTs on my own in '97 (2 merles, 2 non-merles). I started breeding in '99.

So if my calculations are right, that means my family has been around APBTs for 27 years, I have had been in the breed on my own for 14 years, had merles for 14 years, been breeding for 12 years & both numbers (12 & 14) are over the number 10. Hope this helps you figure it out. lol.

Oh now we finally have it nailed down huh Every other post it's a different number of years. Glad you finally got if figured out. So you want to talk about me breeding Gigi but you claim to have bred 7 generations. So 12 years and 7 generations seems like you're breeding A few puppies there lol.

So I must ask was the pure Colby dog your blue one? You know when you had your blue dog forum? Lol. Yeah you say you didn't breed blue dogs but you must think everybody forgot about your blue dog forum huh hahaha. If I'm a drama queen for calling you out on all your bullahit and lies, well I guess I'll take the label if it means getting the truth out there. Lol.

Oh and i got my first dog in 1984. So I guess I have as much experience as you and your family put together :).

Ah yes, thats right, those are the same meds you wished that the tax payers would buy for you. I did not forget our conversation about "free healthcare", did you ? I was heartless then and even more heartless now. I informed you back then....this is what I said

I do find it hard to believe that you have all these woes and money issues but yet you claim that you are not making money off of the backs of your dogs. You make no money from breeding, have difficulties paying for your meds, but yet you own dogs as to which you breed and yet, make no money off of them, where is the logic in that ? Im sorry ABK, you can sell it all day long, im still not buying.

Now this was not meant to be a personal attack, this is just how I view things. The longer we get to know one another the more skeletons fall out of the closet, it was jus a matter of time before people connected the dots to sway my opinion the direction it has gone.

P.S. Please do not pray for me, I am hell bound as it is, at this point in time Im shooting for an air conditioned office with a view and your prayers might just jeoprodize that.

even if they would, i wouldnt take the free handout. i pay for my seizure meds every month. cash money, outta my own pocket, and they arent cheap. not to mention im raising two girls, 10 and 14. being a mason/concrete finisher theres not alotta extra money around here during the winter, but my dogs get fed, regular vet care, we have food on the table, and maybe theres a little extra leftover so i can knock a beer back once in awhile. i need to get into these ultra rare high dollar blues and merles.

What proof do you have that the Madison merles were mixed, to my recollection, there was no proof, just a discrepancy of nose color of parents and offspring. Papers were revoked because the breeder failed to respond to ADBA's inquiries. Just curious if new info has come to light.

Oh and to add to my post (that's why I quoted it) It really isn't 12 years you've been breeding merles since 2011 is has barely begun. So we have 7 generations on the ground in 11 years!!! Hell it could be closer to 10 since we don't know what month you bred your tur....err I mean dogs back in 99. ;) Keep breeding them puppies on their first heats. I'd sleep well knowing you'll never breed an 11 year old (oh and btw she was only 10 she just turned 11) because none of your genetic disasters live that long!!!

And the link of Goldie.... is not the same Goldie in the preg. picture. Unless Lou. Colby would like to say otherwise... but there are differences between the two dogs. And that is the only non preg. pic. on the net claiming to be Goldie.

---------- Post added at 07:01 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:58 PM ----------

And ColbyDogs... if you don't mind me asking, how do you know Lou again? I'm not trying to be rude, but for future reference... I will take what you say Lou has said into consideration... but I can't take it as 100% the truth without a letter signed by Lou or something... I'm sure you understand because if I said I knew Lou I would not expect you to believe everything I tell you.
