So it looks like things are really going smooth so far? (keeping fingers crossed and knocking on wood).

That pic with our daughter is cute. Your daughter is like, "nope, I don't see you (even thought i am trying my harderst not 2 giggle and hug you) and the dogs like, "come on, pet me.... you know u wanna. Kiss me, give me a smooch! ......u know u wanna" teehee.
7. That is EXACTLY what is going on in that picture. She knows he has to stay calm so she is doing her best to ignore the dog and he will go away LOL. The dog on the other hand is going, Why are you ignoring me? Hello, kid? KID..HEY KID..FINE I'll just lick you till you give in.

Excellent.... raising another "dog wise" child for this world!! :clap2:
9. I managed the NY kennel for Canine Companions For Independence for 3 years and brought hom many fosters and puppies. My kids got TONS of practice on how to read and deal with dogs. I was worried at first when looking to adopt a pit that I may get disqualified because of the age of my kids, but they have more experience then some adults do LOL.

Good to hear everything is going smoothly! Have you been to Pet Central yet to let them know?
11. Oh yeah they know all about him LOL. Just before he arrived I went in and bought him a bed, a collar, and a leash and I picked up a bag of Taste of the Wild dog food. Well, I wasn't totally out of dog food in my bin so I sat the bag on my front porch and was going to dump it in the bin later after I used up the old food first. The next morning I go out to get the bag and it is gone....poof....nowhere to be found. After finding the same thing happened to a bag of garbage from our garbage can and after finding that across the street and up the hill in the woods I can only assume a bear took the whole damn bag with it. So I was back in Pet Central yesterday buying yet another bag of Taste of the Wild dog food (they must REALLY love me lately) and I bought a case of Chicken Soup for Dog Lovers canned food so I can mix his meds into his food. Oh and bag of Greenies Pill Pockets, but he won't touch those...GRRRRR. I cant wait till he is well and I can bring him to Pet Central with me.

That's some expensive bear food....

For some good canned food, literally doggie crack in a can, try Merrick.

Merrick Wing-a-ling will literally have them shaking at dinner time.
13. I dont think Pet Central carries Merrick. I don't usually feed canned food, but this boy is very particular about eating treats from your hand and he is on Doxy for the Lymes and the only way to get him to eat it is with canned food. I gotta start cutting back his food soon. He is eating 2 1/4 cups and 1/2 can twice daily. My female who is the same height as him is eating 3/4 cup in the AM and 1 cup in the PM LOL.

Oh yeah, they carry it, the kibble and the canned! ;)

Merick also has a flavor that has four sausages in the can. Feeding Merrick is an adventure. I don't add canned to the kibble anymore, but it's a great food to help the medicine go down. The wing-a-ling has whole chicken wings in it!
15. So you know how that bag of dog food went missing and I originally thought it was stolen, but couldn't figure out why or how someone would steal a bag of dog food? Well, then I got to thinking maybe it was a bear and it carried the whole bag off somewhere. The other morning I saw that an entire bag of our garbage had been carried across the street and up the bank and then ripped apart. Well today on my way home I looked at my closest neighbors house (maybe a 1/2 mile away?) and on his front lawn is a big old game commision Bear Trap!!!! The game commision only traps "nuisance bears".
