    Loki & Terra swimming

Someone told me about a little lake not too far from my work. I've been taking Terra with me to the shop so I can walk her on my lunch to help get/keep her in shape for ADBA. When I heard about this spot, I decided I'd take her and see if she would swim a bit. It'd be so much more expedient if I could bring Loki and have her show T how it's done. But for various reasons... uh yeah... no, that wouldn't work.

Monday, we wing it with a borrowed long-line and a borrowed tennis ball. This is her first time actually going in the water, other than maybe a foot-or-so-deep kiddie pool.

"Wait, you want me to do what? You do realize there's water down there, right?"

^OMG, she's actually swimming in this shot! Not just wading.

Tuesday, we're a little better prepared. But the wind was really bad and it made the water choppy and distracted my dog like nobody's business. Oh well. It worked for her, though, because all she had to do was wade out a bit and the wind kept pushing her ball back to her. Little skank. LOL

Wednesday. I've been spending so much time with little Tinky Too brat, working her for ADBA, training for her upcoming rally trial, etc. Poor Loki hasn't been doing much, just hanging out with me a bit. Well T got a little digestive upset (probably taking in too much lake water on those retrieves), so I took Loki out on Wednesday, because I knew she would enjoy it. I think the old girl is getting a little fat. We gotta work on that. But she had a good time. :)
