Log in issues?

    A few days ago I tried reading the board on my phone, but I was signed out. Tried a couple times, but couldn't remember my password, so I gave up after 3 tries.
    Came home, checked my password and logged in on my phone, no problems.

    Now, I'm getting something like 20+ emails a day saying my log in failed, and the email says someone has tried to log in unsuccessfully to my account 5 times and now has to wait 15 minutes.

    Any ideas why I would be getting this and how to stop it?

    On a car forum I was at you had 5 tries to log in with your correct password,if you failed it would tell you to wait 15 min. and try again,and you would get an email informing you from the forum.Some were having problems logging in with there correct password,the fix was you had to clear cookies from your system.I would PM Vicki about the emails if she doesn't read this first.

    I just had 5 more in the last hour or so.

    I sent her a PM a few days ago, nothing.
    I'm STILL getting upwards of 25 emails a day, it's getting very annoying.
    I've tried logging off, restarting my computer, etc. Nothing is working.

    I sent your PM off to Shon, as I indicated in the PM I sent you, I tried to adjust your settings, and did let you know there is a glitch in the email server. I'll remind Shon again, he might have forgotten about it. My apologies.

    Thanks. I had another 30+ messages today. At least this time they were all in my spam folder so they were easier to delete.

    No change yet. Still getting 20-30 per day. At least they are all in my spam folder, which makes them easy to delete. For a few days they were going in my inbox. That was a pain.

    Still no change? That's bizarre. I told Shon, I edited your settings...I don't know what else to do...except ban you...(sorry, lol!)

    What if you killed the account,and Kit re registered with the same username but different password.I don't know if the post count would be lost though,you could be a newbie all over again!.lol..

    Well, as long as the emails continue to go into the spam folder, I can handle it. It was a pain when they went in my inbox.

    BBPITS, I did think about that. But I don't wanna be a newbie!!!!! LOL

    If there going into your spam folder you should be able to activate a spam filter which would prevent them from coming in to your inbox or folder.Try giving your provider a call and explain the problem.

    Yup. Tried logging in on my cell phone, after 3 tries, I couldn't remember the PW, so I stopped.

    Have you emptied your browser cache on your phone?

    It sounds like something might be caught up in your phone.

    I'd have to look into it but on my iPhone, it's in my phone settings.
