I'm glad everyone is healthy. Raising a litter is a ton of work.
Here is a thread to help you start their socialization and training and give them a good foundation.

I can't really see the pups in the picture. Can't really tell much from the parents in the picture either.

How old is the dam and sire?

Are these rescue dogs, pets or show or working dogs?

You let her whelp on a leather couch?

    What happened to your lab?

    Your female looks part lab.

It looks like vinyl and that look alike leather material will not stain ;)
Puppies, whether purebred or mutts, are aways so cute :)
I guess that's the nicest thing I can say and will leave it at that ;)

we woke up to her on the couch after having the first pup... the couch is being replaced anyways and it is leather, new couch to be moved in tonight...

she is not pure breed at all. not sure what she is mixed with...

Our lab was given to a family friend.. after having her puppies she became aggressive (this after all the puppies were gone) and I was uncomfortable with her around my kids..

Joe I can only image what it is you want to say..

Wait. Are these rescues coming to you already pregnant?
Or are you just not altering your pets so they keep reproducing?

What makes your dogs worthy of breeding?

So let me make sure im right on this...

you bred a mixed female dog to your male? For no apparent reason? The dogs are not papered, titled, health tested, nothing? And you do not have homes lined up for them yet? Yet you say they will get good homes? Is this because you are spaying/neutering them before they leave to their homes? Doing reference and home checks on the homes? Making them sign a contract stating that the pups will be returned to you instead of given away or dumped in a shelter if they can no longer care for them?

Im assuming the answer to all of my questions is no. If so guess what? I PUT DOGS DOWN EVERYDAY AT WORK BECAUSE OF PEOPLE LIKE YOU!!!

Is this because you are spaying/neutering them before they leave to their homes?

I definitely recommend this. It is no secret that I have done an one time backyard breeding. I "felt" that even though it was stupid to breed my dogs and even thought it was a compromise (Tess would be and was spayed afterwards), that if I had them sign a contract and stayed in touch with them, that things would go fine, and originally, they did. However, one of the pups were stolen from the Good Family that I had trusted the dog with. Not their fault, unfortunately, dogs get stolen, but what I will always regret and what will always be on my mind is the fact that I didn't get that dog spayed, so, for all I know, she might be someone's puppy factory now (adding to the shelter dogs that are put down), and that kills me, and it's because of my own irresponsibility. So, take a word of advice from someone who's been there, definitely get them all Spayed and Neutered before they leave, otherwise, something like that can lay on your conscience, and you will be part of the problem, instead of the solution, like I am.

I also recommend you neutering not only the puppies but ALL of your dogs.

At what age did you give/sell her puppies away and were they pure breed?

HAHAHAHA ... yeah, but i won't go there SR. Lets just say that knowing what I know today, the female would have been spayed long ago and never, ever had the first litter. If I wanted puppies, I would go to the local shelter. Lots of mixed breed puppies there and they need homes, before they are eventually "disposed of". Damn, I guess I started just a little bit and will shut up before I offend someone or get myself into trouble ...lol .... Puppies are SOooo cute !!! :)

This was the reason why I was not going to make this post, because I knew it was going to turn into a bash thread...

My pits are not altered yet, correct. The puppies will be given to good homes (best I can find for them) but at to early of an age t have them altered

I did not intentionally breed my dogs, during her heat cycles she stayed in her kenel and was only out when the male was in his kennel.. somewhere in the time however they got locked together and she got pregnant.

    My dogs are all registred
    my dogs are all healthy
my dogs are all well taken care of

As far as I am concerned I will just stop replying and any moderator can close this thread.. I have no reason nor need to answer to any of you. ESPECIALLY with the way the responses came across.

PNW.. Don't you dare judge me. You have no right.

Matter a fact you should just close this thread because this will probably be my last post on this forum..

You said your female was fixed, but now you say that they are both registered. How is that possible? Also, I hope you take what I said to heart. I wish I would have fixed those pups while they were in my hands, I don't want you having the same regrets.
