Letting your dog sleep with you?

My Aston sleeps with me every night and I wouldn't have it any other way. We had an unexpected visitor in our yard one time. Aston didn't bark, he simply licked me on the face until I woke up just in time to see someone walking past my window. Still without barking, he got off of the bed quietly and walked over to my bedroom door waiting for me to open the door. I was able to get my gun and open the door quietly. Aston walked out of the room quietly and waited at the back door (closest to where I saw the person) while I went around to the front. I opened my front door and walked around the back just in time to catch the person walking out of my backyard. He had a gun and a lock picking kit on him. After the police got there and left with the guy I walked back inside to see Aston still waiting at the back door. He is welcome in my bed ANYTIME he wants to be there. I cant imagine what wouldve happened had it not been for my little hero!

Dogs in bed= no sleep (and not enough sex)! So no puppies in the bed he he

That is Peanut he sometimes goes to bed before me and i join him other times he is sleeping in his on the ground bed and when he wants to snuggle he comes up to the bed and stays for the night.

there is a look that Peanut knows that means find a place for a little bit. though sometimes my husband calls him captian CB.
  4. My boyfriend has been away all weekend for work. Which means it's a free for all in my bed. Three dogs, two kids and numerous stuffed animals. I have a king and they still managed to keep me confined to the edge all weekend. lol My pit bull who is damn near 60lbs thinks that if I don't get up to feed him breakfast and let him out it is appropriate to sit on my stomach and lick my face until I get up.

My dogs have always crashed on the bed with me. You will have problems though with dogs who are very dominant. I can't let my Cane Corso on the bed or couch anymore because he then starts thinking he owns it, and will eventually challenge me. With dogs like this it's best to stick with a system and never break it. My pit is the complete opposite and loves to snuggle up along side you.

It's actually not a load of shit. You obviously have no expierence with large breed dominant dogs or your tune would be alot different. You can set boundaries and they will do nothing but test them because it's what they are. With dogs like this they cannot be allowed up to your level or allowed to lay with you in the bed. Most people who own dominant molossers and Cane Corsos will tell you this. This is coming from someone who owns a 140 pound cane corso and went through all of this.

Helena sleeps with us every night... I feel like I am abusing her if I don't let her sleep in bed with me... haha I washed the sheets last night and thought "no animals in the bed" and then I looked at her face before I went to the bedroom and I couldn't turn her away. Could you turn this away?

Rogers sleeps with us whenever we let him, which is most nights. Loves to snuggle on the couch too.
