Just wanted to share my rescue of 07

  1. This is Evee.

She is now living in a wildlife center. I rescued her from a home trying to keep her as a pet in WI...Origionally she came from a Fur Trader in IL.

I took her in, and then contacted the wildlife center who now uses her for educational purposes to teach the public about wolves and other wild animals.

Believe it or not, This is a RED FOX. Gawd was she cute! but for sure NOT A PET although she did have fun playing with my am. bulldog mix when he was a puppy. (they were both babies at the time). I only had evee for about 2 weeks before the wildlife place had room to take her. Even though these pictures are cute...I do have scars!

  4. In the pictures she was about 12-14wks old.

My foster bulldog mix puppy at the time was about 9wks old and as big as she was LOL

Beautiful! I'm glad the wildlife center was able to make room for her. Any chance they use her as an education animal?
  9. Yes she is used as an educational animal!!! this place has a lot of young kids as well as collage kids study wild k9 behavior ONTOP of explaining to the public why these animals are not pets!

They have 4 other foxies with the gal I took care of breifly (same situation as her, all were once attempted to be tamed as pets), and they have 5-6 wolf hybreds (from people who didnt realize what they were getting into) and about 30-40 wolves on the property that came to them for one reason or another, I know they do have a program for the mexican grey wolf and a few others where there breeding to release and help the endangered wolves and species of concern gain a population in the wild again.

Its a neat place I couldnt be more happy. All the k9's enclosures are HUGE and natural looking, hidy spots, trees etc.
