I have zero personal experience with this but a quick search tells me that this is an inflammation of the jaw due to either injury or nerve degeneration. Treatment is supportive and there is typically spontaneous resoluation within a few weeks.

    What did your vet say?

I would suggest soaking the dry food so she's getting more water.

Where are you located? I would look for a low cost Vet clinic if I were you. Take my expensive pup to the Animal Welfare League clinic

They need a lot of water while on prednisone. I would try to find a low cost Vet Clinic and get her in.
