ok, so I have about 5 or 6 different "free web storage" sites. Onedrive (skydrive), Nikon image share, asus webstorage, photobucket, etc... I obviously want to mainly use just about 2 of these sources but my problem is that only on photobucket can I find the IMG code to post pics on here without it being an attachement... I am out of free space and can buy my membership, but with all of these other sites that offer way more free storage, Id rather not. Each site has a share code, but it produces a link that you have to click on to take you to the photo... Is there a way to convert a regular link to an IMG code? I am not that computer savy, so I am not having much luck with this... anyone???

Depending on how the site is made, you can make your own image code or just insert your image code from the forum itself provided you have the photo's actual url

Well how do you do that? I've been trying to play around with it with no success

you can save the pic and upload it to a hosting site that doesn't store the photo. As long as the link you're talking about ends in .jpg then all you have to do is add the IMG brackets for the photo to post.

I use: Postimage.org - free image hosting / image upload

The easiest way to grab a pic's url is to right click it and select "copy image url". From there you can paste it to whatever area comes up for you to do so provided the forum (like this one) has an insert image button

And we even make it easy for you. copy image location, then click on the little picture frame icon next to the two globes in the frames when you make a post. You will get a pop up. Choose the option to use a url, uncheck the little box, paste your url in the box, and you're done!

Can you left click on the full size image of the photo on one of the hosting sites? (Don't click on the attachment!)
    Then select 'copy image location'.
Come here, open post box, open that itty bitty picture frame, select the tab that sez 'from url'. Uncheck the box with the check mark in it.
