Awh :( JJ that sucks. How old was she?

Chairity.. Well, you can always post on Kijiji/Craigslist with what you're looking for, and check them and petfinder often. OR find a rattery close to you and see what they have. I've never seen a siamese in person.

I might be getting a wild baby if he makes it. Someone else has him right now, he's got fur, but eyes are closed. They're going to try rearing him and if he makes it I'll have a new baby.

She was about a year....but she was a hairless so that didnt help her lifespan any.

Oh that's cool! I'd be worried about "wild diseases" being contracted by my pet ones though. I don't know enough about wild ones to really know about the diseases though.

I'd go about it like I do with new rats from dirty places, like the feeder tanks. Quarantine, checking for parasites and whatnot, down to deworming and mites/lice. I've had wild babies before with no issues. There are actually quite a lot of 'halfies' - half pet/half wild rats.

Wow, that really sucks! My Lilith is only a year old I can't imagine losing her so early.

Out of the 5 babies I had, only one was able to be handled, I do know how hard it is, they're predisposed to be scared of humans, it's in their nature.

Sounds like you know what you're doing! Please post pics when you get him/her.

Yea it does really such. Roxy was my 3yo daughters rat. She hasn't asked to play with her since she died, so I haven't told her yet.....

Well I hope she will take it well. I know I was very sensitive at that age, most kids handle it pretty well.

I hope I do. These are the older babies I had for a while.

Oddly enough, my 12lb pomeranian mix does a better job than my German Shepherd when it comes to ratting.
