Hands down a well bred GSD. Some sort of combination of WG working/DDR/Czech lines ideally.

Ironically my mixed breed Lily (GSD/Sibe) is the reason for my love affair with the GSD. To me she's perfect because she has the best traits from both breeds.

If I could get my little hands on a Seppala line Siberian Husky and have the means to work it... I would love that.

Other than that, working bred Dobe and Dane are probably next on my list. I like well put together Alaskan Malamutes too.

Doberman. My aunt had an awesome one when I was growing up and made me fall in love with them. I've now had 2. Niki lived to be 12 and now I have Jack, who is 3.

there's so many different breeds I've considered, but it most always comes back to:

    Cane Corso

I love the looks of both, and if I ever got a CC, it'd only be one. don't know if I could handle more than that, LOL! the Frenchie is everything I love about a dog-short, stout, snorty, LOL! and they are just the cutest little bastards I've ever seen. and maybe on a temporary moment of insanity, I'd cave and get my self a nice sher-pei ;o)

and in all honesty, I want to get two pomeranians-both have to be cream/white so that I can dye their fur all crazy like pink and purple and blue. I know it seems cruel, but the dye is all vegetable based-it won't hurt them, LOL!

    other breeds I'd consider:
    Plott Hounds
    Black and Tans
Staffy Bull (to show in AKC/UKC!!!)

Sasha. She is my chosen breed. Don't know what the heck she is, never will. But that is the beauty of her. There is only 1. And that makes her extra special in my book.

Some of my very favorite dogs in this world have been mutts. So I guess overall my breed of choice isn't a breed of all. Its mutts.

If I had to choose a breed that is my favorite that I would love to own: Probably the Siberian Husky. Not pratical for many reasons though.

I guess I just haven't found my breed of choice yet. But I've discovered a few that aren't my breed of choice including the Chihuahua, the Shih Tzu and the Poodle. Family has had those breeds my whole life, I'm now terrified of Shih Tzus and Poodles just don't fit into my lifestyle. Chi's are Way too nervous and skittish and small for me. Though when we adopted Sasha we thought we were getting a Chihuahua mix, she may have some in her but she is as far from a chihuaha as you can get I think. Perfect size too.

A Boston Terrier. My family always had medium size dogs and I never got to have a small dog. So I know I will for sure own one some day.

I take that back I do love a good Beagle!!! But overall I really haven't found my breed of choice. I don't know that I ever really will have one.

after getting Jack, Boston terriers are growing on me!

other than APBTs my family has had GSDs, Dobermans, Bostons, and Shar-Peis, all good breeds imo, but if i couldnt have APBTs, i wouldnt have dogs at all.

my mom has a soft spot for em, so shes had 2. they are alotta work with the skin issues they can suffer from...lots of wrinkles to clean. also they definitely dont have the love for everyone a good APBT has, so i wont ever get one. good watch/guard dogs tho

My fiance had two big black males (brothers) when he was younger. He loves them and there is a good breeder in TX where I will most likely get one from if I do get one. I don't mind the extra work and we don't have a lot of visitors so I don't mind if they have issues with a few family members that I really don't want coming around ;)
  14. Poisoned

    Poisoned GRCH Dog

If I got a Shar, because I do love their temperaments, I'd get more of a working line... Original, not the wrinkly bags who have more health problems than not.

I just wouldn't want to clean out those wrinkles every day... lol

Labs since I grew up with them. :)
Color me crazy but I would love another hound, but Buster is enough. I would love a rottweiler mix again too.

I would love a catahoula, too. I love those dogs and maybe a border collie. I love all dogs though! :) So I am not picky
what dog I have as long as it's not a chihuahua. ;)

Bloodhound and Doberman! Looove the wrinkles and floppy ears on a hound, and Dobies are just beautiful! I would definitely have well guarded property ;)

:eek: You mean there are other breeds besides the APBT?????:eek:

Well, the other 4 breeds I have right now are 2 Labs (mixed), a Shepherd mix, and a Shih Tzu mix. However, if I were to ever own a breed other than the APBT (which I plan to adopt from shelters/rescues), I would choose a Great Dane. That's what I always wanted BEFORE Mollie came into our lives... but now, I'm pretty sure the only thing I will own will be APBT's from shelters/rescues. I wouldn't mind a Dogo, but I'd have to do a lot of reading up on the breed before I adopted one.

I've known a couple of people that have owned the Shar Pei's, they have a lot of skin issues, and usually have to have eye surgery due to their eye lids drooping down. Nice dogs though.

My husband saw this and said he'd like to have another Chow Chow. He had one as a kid and that was "HIS" dog. They were attached to the hip.

Personally though, I couldn't handle all that hair. lol

There are a few dogs I'd consider other than a pitbull:
    My top choices would be:
    Dogo Argentino and Standard Poodle
