SO just like a parent i made all the mistakes with my first baby my GSD and i have promised my self not to do the same with OSCAR.

I never used a clicker with Rocky (GSD) just good boy but i started using the clicker with Oscar it only took 1 session to load oscar onto the clicker and it is working wonders.

I can teach him commands and that he is doing correct behaviour in what seems like 10x faster then before.

I think that everyone should use a clicker to teach their dog if they are not afraid of the noise its like doggy magic.

there are ways to teach or load the clicker to avoid the scared of noise thing you can read the clicker thread
I too have trained with many devices, when I teach a new class and intro the clicker I tell them: the clicker is the "most powerful tool in my training toolbox"
glad you are having some positive results
