I think I just got as close to getting a Malinois as a poor girl will ever get. This little girl was at the pound, due to be euthanized at 6 months for resource guarding..(ummm, yeah starving puppies will do that). What do you think, Malinois? Sweet a can be, super calm (probably the drugs from being spay) Watching her super close with the other 2....no unsupervised time, I know the rules :)

Cute pup. I have no idea what she is. Some kind of shepherd possibly.

I know nothing about the breed you mentioned so I googled it. Looks possible. She's a pretty dog and very lucky you found her! She might fall into the catagory of a "gray" in the link shown since she doesn't have much masking on her face....?

Looks GSD mixed, maybe with lab or husky to me. I don't see malinios at all. She's got such soulful eyes, glad you saved her. What's her name?

I have to agree don't see mal and if she's calm and sweet may not have mal because every one of them I know is nuts lol.

She is a little wilder today, yesterday she had just been spayed. The truly amazing thing to me is how she and my pit bull are getting along, ( I am watching them at all times) but they seem to just love each other, cuddling together and playing....of course my Pit loves human babies too
IMAG1188.jpg and she will burrow under the little ones to have them lay on her...weird dog.

You live in my town! We got our Dobie from MCACC as a kid. Had him 13 years. Congrats she is a beauty.

Please don't let your child lay on the dog like that. Just because the dog isn't growling doesn't mean the dog isn't uncomfortable. Allowing behavior like this from children is one of the common reasons they are bitten.

    I'll go with GSD/Northern breed.

Please understand that many, many dogs are incredibly shut down when you first pull them from a shelter and she is recovering from surgery. I really like the 2 week shut down protocol for new adult dogs.

Best of luck! Sounds like you are already enjoying her

Unoriginal....my dog burrows under the kids to be with them....this was the behavior that was happening when I took this...I don't allow the grandbabies to just lay all over on the dogs (although the picture does make it seem that way), but she really loves to push her way under them, I think because they laugh and she likes to snuggle with them. My pit will do anything to be with the babies, and she has been that way since they where born. Including watching every diaper change to make sure it is done right. The days I watch my grandbabies (same days every week) she gets up before the alarm and waits by the door. I do totally agree, dogs are not napmaps!!!

Thank you for taking the time to explain it rather than throw a tantrum. I'm glad you and I are on the same page!

  19. I had a malinois. Awesome dog! She gave me 13 incredible years. They will test their boundaries from time to time but are great dogs. Training is a must but the breed is super smart and easy to train - you just have to put the work in. Good luck and enjoy!

This dog does not look like a Mali to me at all. She does, however, look somewhat like some Alaskan Huskies/husky mixes that I know. My bet would be on husky mix.

    For example, this boy:
