I guess this is my letter of introduction... I could have sworn I wrote one yesterday, but what the hell... here it goes again.
I go by Coop, work in construction and I love my 2 year old pit bull Sallie. She's a fierce pup, chews through just about anything she can get a hold of. But despite all that, she's an important member of the family.
I look forward to sharing more with you and hearing from you.

It's all in how you raise them! Lol

depending on the situation when I hear people say ^^^ that ^^^ "it's all in how you raise them" about Pit Bulls I have been known to cringe! Yes the way they are raised plays a part , but in my opinion, DNA plays a big role. A bad temperament is a bad temperamen for any breed and you can't love it out of them. Sorry that's the way I feel. But chihuahua can be a pistol and when it's not temperament related it usually the owners fault for not having a strong hand and let's the chi call the shots!

People always say that when I'm out with Tonka. It makes me cringe too.

There is some truth to how you raise them impacting personality. I believe that the pit mixes that attack humans often do so because they were abused.

Absolutely. And I hope I didn't give the impression that I thought otherwise. It's just my opinion that DNA/temperament is first and foremost and everything else is secondary. Again, that's my opinion. If I were looking for an APBT puppy, part of my
research would be to go to the breeders and sit with the dam and the sire for an hour or so and assess their temperaments because I am pretty sure my pup's would be similar . Just sayin....
