My almost 6 week old catahoula mix foster puppy is currently eating breakfast, lunch, dinner, and before bed. When she was 5/6 weeks old I was feeding her an additional meal. She eats a small amount, about 1/2 cup, each meal, but she doesn’t finish it. I don’t want to underfed or over feed her. She weighed 5.8lbs today . She is on purina pro plan large breed puppy (if I remember the foods name lol).

Sounds fine to me, but I would probably do away with the "before bed" meal.
If she's not finishing it, cut back just a bit til she does .

I always feed all they will eat. I leave the food there so they can eat anytime they want to.
She is too young to be weaned from her mother. She should have food available all of the time.

Ok thank you. I’ll cut out the before bed meal.. I don’t want to under feed her by giving her less as she only eats between 1/4 and 1/2 a cup each meal.

I give her more food if she is still hungry , but usually she doesn’t eat more then a few bites of extra good. She’ll poop in her food bowl if I leave it out. Yes, I know, which is why I’m
Fostering her through a local animal shelter .
