I’m feeding my 7 week puppy 4 times a day as recommended by my vet but not completely sure how much. I give him 2 tablespoons of canned puppy food for now and he devours it and seems like he stays hungry but his belly looks like is about to pop. So should I feed him more or leave it as is?

Forget about the canned dog food. Find a good dry puppy feed and feed him all he will eat.
I always left food out for puppies.

Do I mix it with water to soften it or give it to him dry?

Definitely this pup needs more. I am one that believes in meals and not leaving food out -- I like to keep track of what they are eating and when. If this pup is really an eager eater, I would definitely wet the food down pretty good (let it soak a bit so it's not hard), as it will go down easier (I believe moisture is much better on kibble all the time, but do have my dogs learn to eat it dry as well, but a little later after doing well on the moistened kibble). I don't see anything wrong with mixing in some good canned food -- I like the ground type (not the chunks) so it just coats all the kibble and can't be picked out. I would start with 1/2 cup kibble, 3 times a day and go from there. The big belly? I take it the dog has been wormed?

I took him to the vet on the 31st of January and he got his first shots and dewormed. His belly just gets big as he eats so I’m thinking he’s getting full but he keeps on eating and when he’s done he would cry but he doesn’t any more. So I started with kibbles yesterday and I just mix it with canned and some water. He eats all the canned but is still having trouble with the kibbles he puts it in his mouth and sometimes he eats it and sometimes he spits it out. Like I said I just introduced it to him yesterday so I’m guessing he’s still getting used to it

Take the kibble and put some water in it. Warm it up and try giving that to him. You can also add string beans or carrots to the kibble. How much kibble are you giving him?

I just started feeding him the kibbles yesterday so I mixed like 8 kibble bites with the canned food and some warm water

Get rid of the canned food. Throw that shit out. Give the dog 1/2 cup of the kibble three times a day. Again, you can mix string beans in with the kibble. String beans will fill the dog up but they won't add the extra calories.

Puppies usually start eating "mush" (solid food soaked in water so it's soft) at 3 1/2 to 4 weeks old. If this pup has never had solid food, it probably IS new for him, so make a mush if you need to for a while.

My pups would learn to eat while on their mother. I fed them the same thing.
