How much does your 4 to 6 month puppy weigh?

I am curious as to how our pup Roo compares to other puppies and am trying to gauge what he will end up weighing full grown ( if that is possible). He just turned 4 months and I weighed him yesterday and was shocked that he is 35 lbs. I might be wrong but I thought I read that at 6 months they will be 1/2 the weight that they will be full grown. If that is the case I could have a mighty big guy. He doesn't look thick and stocky but rather lean and leggy.

    Leo's a lot smaller. :). He was 17.6 lbs at 16 weeks and 32 at 6 months.

Our boy is 18 weeks and 30lbs. He is a mix tho,
I think the method you described is the best to guess-timate what they will weigh at adulthood.

Bronson was 33lbs at 6 months old, and now he is 43lbs at a year and a half.

I kept track of his weight every week and at about 4 months old he was gaining about 1lb a week. Hit 41lbs at 1 year.

Should have added that he was 24lbs at 4 months old.

Ares will be 6 months in 2 days and weighs 38lbs. He is a mix and also leggy and lean for now. Being mixed with boxer I have a feeling that might change though.

I believe you double the weight at 4 months to get an estimate of their adult weight, not 6.

Mine were both around 40lbs at 4 months and are now both around 65lbs at 2.5 and 1.5 years. So, the double the weight at 4 months thing wasn't quite that accurate in their case.

At 4 months, Zealand was something like 37 pounds, I do believe. At 9 months old, he is right under 50 pounds and I don't expect him to get a whole helluva lot bigger lol I've never had the doubling theory work on any of my dogs!

Consistently inconsistent. I guess I'll just have to wait and see:) He is a pitbull mix and I have no idea what the mix part is. Maybe I'll figure it out as he gets older.

  14. My 13 week old is 35 lbs. But that is to be expected when his daddy is 150 lbs.

I don't either, but hey maybe he does all I'm looking at is pictures and it's hard to tell that way. They do claim he weighs 150lbs, but I don't like the way they have worded some of their paragraphs. Some of the other claims they make seem deliberately skewed, and purposefully meant to deceive.
However, now I'm really wondering if he weighs 150lbs or they are just trying to stuff their pockets some more. Very unprofessional web page IMO
