thank you all for the replies.
The reason I was asking is because Bobo is all ways hungry. I want him to be healthy
I feed him Nutri source Chicken and pea formula 2 cups a day 3/4 a cup around 5 in the morning 1/2 a cup around 12 noon, and 3/4 a cup around 9 pm
I am just looking for reassurance
    thank you all

Bobo is still growing, so he is going to have a healthy appetite :)

Tonka is five+ and always hungry. In fact, we asked a Vet a few months ago if she should be tested for Valley Fever. However, many dogs can't eat very much when they have it. Tonka has a huge appetite.

Nat Ursula brought up a good point in that healthy dogs will eat with gusto, and always appear hungry. It is their nature, and it is up to us to make sure that they don't turn into wide-bodies. :D

Hey! I think Bobo looks great! I ♥ his name! It's funny because I have a thread about this as well for my girl, who is couple weeks younger than your girl! :) (Someone told me she was fat! lol but she's not) She eats 3 cups of Taste of the Wild along with little bit of high quality treats throughout the day. She gets frozen stuffed kongs as well with fruits, meat, wet food, etc. but on those days I do cut a bit of her food to compensate. She weighs about 53lbs. She is very energetic and always hungry. The 2nd week she was here I left her alone for about 2-3 hours and I came home to a cotton field of just toilet paper, tissues, slippers, son's stuffed animals, cookie/food jars chewed open, etc. all chewed up and destuffed..eaten... LOL she must have eaten at least 3-4lbs of food and the vet had told me to fast her for 24hrs and you know she was begging me for food 4 hours after that ordeal. Haha yuppppp! 4 hrs after stuffing herself with 3lbs of food she wanted more!:p:eek: That's Roxy for yah!

How long will he keep growing? I thought after a year they are done.
Capt. Roxy Bobo is a boy:) Wow 3 cups of food isn't that to much? nutria source says 2 cups a day for a 50 to 60 lbs. dog
Bobo is pretty good about destroying things in the house. just a small hole in the carpet:mad: and a big hole in a quilt :)
I do not crate him any more he has the run of the house when I am gone so I guess I am lucky that is all he destroyed

The cups should vary on the amount of protein in the kibble..

Sorry, i didn't finish saying, it will tell you on the bag how many cups but certain formulas will have different amounts of protein, make sure your feeding a kibble that isn't to high in protein VS the exercise your dog is getting. In your case Mark, you are fine, your dog looks good.

The food she is on right now 40-60lbs they say feed 3-3 3/4 cups per day so I'm feeding her the lowest amount they say to give because I do give her treats/snacks like salmon jerky, turkey jerky, etc. but once she hits 12-13 months they say to reduce it to 2 1/3-3 1/4 per day. I heard that they grow in height first 12 months and by 8-10 months they are pretty much 80 percent done growing in size but they fill out until they are 3 years old. I'm not sure if that is accurate or not it is what I read and heard from others. I've also been told different things as far as feeding amount at 12 months. I've heard technically with her activity and breed I could feed her a bit more until she is 18months old. I'm probably going to settle for the middle and ween down around 13-14 months. HAha and about the crate, yea unfortunately I do have to crate her when she doesn't go to camp after that incident.
