[IMG] Brand new here! I’m a (semi) new pup mom.
Nola is a 17 week old Am Bully x APBT cross... So whatever that makes her
Previously I had two adult dogs, one male AmBully named Deuce and a female pit bull (mix?) named Lillie that was a rescue as a tiny puppy from a dog fighting ring.
Tragedy hit in December, Deuce passed away quickly and unexpectedly. Lillie developed a slight limp early April. She rapidly declined and was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumor. She crossed the rainbow bridge May 13th. I had a really hard time losing both my babies so closely together. It’s still hard to talk about, but I smile now remembering them more than I cry. [IMG]

On July 11th a man sent me a message on social media, he told me he had been following all the post about my dogs, read my posts about Deuce dying and Lillie’s illness and passing and told me he wanted to gift our family with a puppy. He said he knew she would be taken care of and after we had had so much sadness he’d like to give us a little happiness.
My husband and I talked it over and after much discussion we decided to take him up on that offer. Nola came home on July 13th. 6 months after Deuce passed and 2 months to the day after Lillie passed. I like to believe they picked her for me.
Nola is...wild. Beautiful. Rambunctious. Sweet. Maddening. A handful. A joy. To be perfectly honest she pulled me out of the depression I was in and put a smile back on my face.
I wasn’t ready to raise a puppy but I’m doing my best

Welcome to PBC, Sorry to read about your loss, nothing like a busy puppy to put a smile on your face. She looks like a sweety.

I'm so sorry for your loss too! That story is amazing though! That was such an act of kindness!!! The puppy is beautiful.
