I have a few suggestions. When he is nipping you, grab his muzzle and hold it firmly and tell him NO BITE. Dont let go of him, until he completly relaxes, and does not struggle, he will learn to repspect you more. Bitter yuck is also a possibility, it taste really bad. when he is going to nip you, spray it all over your hands and when he puts his mouth on you, he'll regret it. LOL. its at your local pet stores too. but keep in mind, it tastes horrible, and doesnt wash off easily, dont put your hands in your mouth!

Well both our pups did that at early age. They dont do it now. But one thing that the breeder showed me because it happend to her when I was there was to bite on their cheeks hard back. Funnily enough they stop doing it.

It was every time the dogs was in front of our face and they would try it

We used tobasco sauce. My girl learned to stop nipping very quickly.
Suggestion: Because your pup is ao young and still a baby I would put him on a leash when he is playing with your kid. This way if the pup goes to nip you can tug on the leash and say no and redirect the pup and then the kid does not get hurt. Your pup is an infant and this is going to take a little while and lots of consistancy. You can do it, good luck!

We used the bitter apple spray and used icy hot muscle cream. The second seem to work better, I think it was the smell.

Im trying this stuff i got from the vets office Bitter orange thats VERY strong but doesnt seem to help after it dries which is quite quickly and now hes learned when he sees the bottle to stop then start again when the bottle is gone. I asked his breeder what they didd and they said when the pup bites in play yelp if they continued they would stick a finger down their throat to set off the gag reflex. Not working for Guinness either:no2:. he wont let anyone pet him for more then 3 seconds without chewing on hands.

My pup also nipped my nose once but it was my fault for getting so close. He would bite all the time when playing but now that he is older he doesn't do it as much. I also did the pinch his lip trick which did help some.

Woo, Loads of things I've tried is actually on here already lol. When he was weeks old and didn't let me or anyone pet him without getting nibbled on, I used my thumb and press hard on his tongue. Seemed to work a little till he got ahold of my left ear and made it bleed. I always grabbed his muzzle and make him look at me and say 'no! bad puppy' Also one important thing I use is making him submissive. Basically pinning him down on his side until he calms down and if he does, stops whining and just lay there. It's getting harder to do that now he's 80+ pounds(though I look like UFC players trying to pin him) but after he hit 6 months old he stopped teething or nipping. Toys, Rawhides, frozen washcloth saved most of my skin when he was just a baby. Walk the puppy, play, exercise him until he gets tired and reward him when he's not biting;)
