Rhys is growing like a weed. He's 21 weeks old today and about 33 pounds. He is our little wonder boy and can do no wrong

He has a lot of drive and energy but a great off switch. Loves the flirt pole and tug. I have really high hopes for him as a performance dog. We've dabbled in conformation but he really needs some maturity to see if he will have what it takes for the show ring. His front end and head are really nice, but his rear structure is still developing.

    Anyways, pics!

    With his daddy last weekend.

Thank you! Now if his rear would catch up and be as pretty as his front end we would be in business! But I love him to bits regardless if he's conformation material or not.

It took forever for him to break 30 pounds. He hovered around 28-29 for the longest. When I weighed him a few days ago he was something like 32.8 pounds. So yeah, the double the weight thing at four months...I think he was only 22 or 23 pounds, and I just don't see him being under 50, even well conditioned.

Rear should catch up ;) This is why we "hide puppies behind the barn" for awhile LOL. Sako started lightly showing when he was 7 months, he was like 35lbs. then, matured to 55lbs., if that helps! By the time we got the NAPBTA Nationals he was 11 months and about 45lbs., that's when he finished his UKC CH (finished GRCH at 15 months). I'm sure Kristina told you these guys take awhile to mature.. Sako is about to turn 3 and he's still changing!

I really hope so! He is just so nice from the front and has a beautiful little head. It would be a bit of shame if he wasn't well proportioned.

Thanks! And his temperament is awesome. Very well-rounded, outgoing, and sweet. I couldn't be happier with his personality.

Yeah just give him time. There's no rule book that says you have to get out there and start showing right when they hit 6 months. He might just be one that needs a year or so to mature and then bring him out :)

Did they not warn you about Hilltop lines LOL? They are slow as molasses to mature!

Haha, yeah, I was warned. It doesn't bother me in the slightest. Hopefully it means that he will be awesome for a long time!

He already looks less and less like a puppy to me every day :/

Me either, I love that they have great great grandparents that are still alive at 15yrs. old!

He is maturing quite nicely :)

He's super adorable! I'm really like dogs with black muzzle masks for some reason.
