So im picking up my new puppy next week. I'll be doing schutzhund and confirmation with her. I'll be feeding her raw with a mix of kibble. I've been told about Diamond Naturals which has 100 calories per serving. I even saw this one food called Maximum Hunter which has 533 calories per serving! The thing is the guy is all the way in CA and to get it myself would too much lol. $63 a bad on Amazon!..

Anyways, my questions is, what are some other kibble high in calories that you guys would recommend?

Kirkland Signature puppy food that you get at Costco has 366 calories per 8 oz cup and is $13 for a 20 lb bag...its rated 4 or 4.5 stars on the rating sites ive seen

definitely the most affordable, true premium kibble ive come across

I don't know why you need high calorie, but the highest I've seen is canine caviar puppy at around 650kcal/cup

No need to feed a super high calorie kibble straight off the bat. Get the pup, see how she does on the lesser kibbles then adjust as needed from there.

What's your other dog eating? I'd start there.

It sounds like a working dog, you will still need to find a baseline, like uno said.

    Does your other dog work?

Costco is the best food to use to make you dog big fast.

You shouldn't be trying to make your dog big fast. A) APBT are medium dogs so they'll never be "big" and B) those of us with actual giant breeds know that you want the exact opposite, slow, even growth otherwise you're risking growth disorders like HOD

I ended up buying Diamond Naturals. I'll explain why in another thread.
