It’s crazy... and such a horrible thing that happened. I saw photos Hubbie sent me going to and from work etc. My little old grandmother (in law) is terrified of going outside because she said the cops are shoving and using unnecessary force against even peaceful protestors.

There’s nothing happening here though. Where I live there’s just about zero crime. Our cops are all kinda overweight and the most policing they’ve had to do was park at our parks and make sure we follow social distancing rules. Literally, this is the most action they’ve seen!

I do think military is needed, forget national guard...!! they need the army. I do have family members on opposite ends of the law and it was interesting to hear what they thought.

Racial profiling will always exist. It’s a damn shame and shouldn’t be this way but it is real and has always existed bc we as people suck. Honestly, I don’t think much will change in how cops truly think. It’s a touchy subject but I do know for a fact that even black cops react different towards other blacks and Hispanics. The riots and burning of flags sure won’t change that....?? Could it?

The cops are forced to treat blacks different than whites. It isn't their choice.
Blacks commit more crimes than whites and they are a much smaller percentage of the population.
Cops have to stop those who are committing crimes. That is their job.
The biggest killer of black men are other black men. Cops kill more whites than blacks.
I live near Jackson, Mississippi. The crime rate there makes the crime rate in Chicago look like a sunday school class.
For the last year especially black children have been killed more and more. They just arrested three men for killing a eleven year old boy.

Its never time for military boots on American soil. That will be seen as an act of war against the people. Civil War will break out shorty after.....

The armed American public is larger than most every uniformed army out there combined. They won't win that war.

Black on black crime doesn't justify cops killing unarmed black people, or people in general for that matter. They are not judge, jury and executioner. Their job is to arrest based off facts not just simply because the guy is black.
Yes there are more whites killed than blacks by police however whites make up like 56% of the population and black only 32% which means they are 2.2 times more likely to be targeted than a white person is at those population totals.

Your comparing a a population of 164,000 to 2.1 million. In other words apples to corn flakes.

The whole idea of having a police force is to protect the citizens from those who commit crimes. Crimes stats are very easily found on govt. sites. When a crime is committed and the police asked to come in to protect a citizen color does not matter. The police has to investigate the crime and arrest any person committing a crime. If that person decides to resist arrest the police have to use force necessary to arrest the person who committed a crime.
Just one look at govt. crime stats will show blacks commit more than half of all crimes even though they are a much smaller population. All it takes is looking and reading the numbers.

How are the police supposed to stop criminals? What are the police supposed to do when a person resists arrest?
Are they supposed to just let a person commit a crime and walk away just because the person is black?

No I am comparing crimes committed to 1000 people. The crime rate for 1000 people in Jackson Mississippi is higher than the crime rate committed to 1000 people in Chicago. How is that so hard to understand? Do 1000 people in one city count more than 1000 people in another city?

All my life I have heard black demand equality. When I was young I went to a Martin Luther King speech.
His wants was to have the black people treated equal to white people.
Can anyone tell me of some right that a white person has that a black person does not have?
