it is completely IMPOSSIBLE for two red-nosed dogs to have black-nosed puppies. you may want to do some research and found out who else got bred to your pup's mother. I hope to God you didn't pay for a registered pup with a black nose from two red-noses. sorry, but genetics will NOT allow for this to happen, it doesn't matter what the bloodline is/are/was. you can not, and will not get a black nosed pup from two red-nosed parents!!!

and for the record, the ADBA does NOT fault blue eyes unless it is accompanied with a white coat and pink nose/eye rims. blue eyes on a pigmented dog is NOT FAULTED.
  5. Ok So I think she is a chocolate blue nose but can anyone help me identify her color/type? Im not asking for expert just opinions lol 32190_419945856741_533586741_5255480_7408002_n.jpg

"The American Pit Bull Terrier can be any color other than merle, according to the UKC breed standard, while the American Staffordshire Terrier can be any color at all, although all-white dogs or dogs more than 80 percent white, as well as black and tan and liver, are 'not to be encouraged.' Otherwise, the differences tend to be based more on fashion and individual breeder preferences then anything else. Are they the same? You decide!"---AMERICAN PIT BULL TERRIERS Magazine Volume 45.

This is no doubt one of those subjects that can be discussed ad nauseum.

This is Buster, who is now about a year and a half old. He has UKC purple ribbon papers.
I got Buster from a breeder who has since proven to me that he is unquestionably an honest and honorable guy and a very good friend.

However, this breeder insisted that his color be listed on the papers as 'blue seal'. and since I had never heard of seal being a color, I looked it up, and the dictionary does state that one of the definitions of this word is a brownish gray color. But when I look my little pal, I do not see a grayish color, I see a chocolate brown and white dog with very dark lips and nose - they are very dark blue or black, it looks as though someone has put makeup on him.

    What do you think?
  12. neat post, I'm still not sure what color my dogs are cause i'm very color blind but my girlfriend says brown and brindle, all the same to me.

Color is olny "fur deep" so to speak. It really doesn't matter. I posted this just to help people understand colors better because it is sort of fun, but also because many don't seem to know what color their dogs are.

This is amazing! I have been wondering in my Kolby could be blue. Hes got two sisters that are blue and when he stands in the sun he looks like a shiny navy color but i just always thought it was because he is SO black. i have added pictures to my page and a picture of one of his sisters let me know what you think.
