what does he plan to do with guiness? keep him or relocate him? I know its really hard for me to determin whether or not it was something you did or if the dog was just a bad seed genetically. And its really hard to say if another bull terrier would go down the same path or if you should continue with the breed. Thats really up to you. Im sorry your going through this, tho.

He said he is going to keep him with his dogs he said Guinness obviously needs a stronger and way more experienced owner then what me and most people around here could be. he told me i could come back to vist him whenever i wanted i told him i deffinatly would. i also asked him if i didnt take another puppy if whenever he has another litter if i could come over beforethey are ready to go to new homes and teach them basic obedience or at least start out he said that would be great.Maybe i could be satisfied with not having my own if i could justbe around them. i dont know alot of Bull Terrier breeders have told me that my personality is a good one that bull terriers would make good dog for me.i love everything about them and i do mean everything i have been researching the breed since i was akid and have practiced dog training just as long with alot of other peoples dogs and our own. right now i am just so confused and very sad. i know Guinness wasnt a "bad seed" he just wasnt right for me. maybe if i can start out with a milder mannerd dog i could work my way up to a tough dog like Guinness but not now.

charity it might be an interest to you to rescue a bull terrier thats an adult and has a very mild temperment. i think that would be a great idea. :D

im terribly sorry this has happend as it makes me feel all sad inside atleast the guy is holding on to him and working with him maybe he might consider returning him in time if he gets over it.

That is what i was telling my mom the other day and have been looking at rescued bull terriers but most f them are not good around cats and i have 3 older cats i would not want to put in danger. also i would be worried that i would not be allowed to own one as right now i lost my newest job that i had after only 4 days the women got her kids taken away from her, why i am not sure she had lost them previously becuase she hit them. but ne ways i am on the look out for another job also babysitting is basically a minimum wage job it works for me becuase i live at home at dont pay rent or for food so i have all the money i need for my pets but some people might not see it that way and i worry i wouldnt be allowed to rescue, we live in an apartment also which might be another thing that wouldnt allow me to be eligable.:no2: i really would like that though.

I think given your current situation with the cats, and not having a job, and living in an apartment that maybe the best thing for now is to volunteer :)

yea the rescues are hard to get dogs from so I dont think they will give you one in that currect situation. the guy who breeds bull terriers lives in an apartment too? thats crazy I could never own these dogs in an apartment.

honestly, if i were you, i would maybe not get another pup for a while.
it sounds like there were pretty severe communication issues between you and Guinness.
did you, even just once, throw him to the floor and give him the good shake and scare that his mama would have given him?

you're relieved that he's going back to a pack situation, but did you consider that EVERY situation involving a dog is a pack situation, even if it's just you and the dog?
this is a good time to brush up on your canine leadership skills.

good for you, realizing the weight of the problem, and doing the right thing, both for you and the dog before it became too late.

p.s. you DIDN'T turn him into a "bad" or "vicious" dog. dont' think that for a minute. the only thing you did wrong was to improperly communicate with a dominant puppy.
