Well , just gave chico and mia their first ever bones .... went to the Feed supply store where I buy their TOTW from, they have Pet Professional's Choice Prime Cuts Meaty Bones for Large/Medium dogs.... it looks like a big beef bone, maybe a leg bone? It doesn't say and I couldn't find it on the internet, I shouldve asked the guy at the counter, I put it in the freezer for about 8 hours, its pretty meaty and has a lot of marrow it looks like, from what i've read on the internet, it looks okay for them, the meat on the bones almost smells like it was smoked.... Well I gave them the bones and at first they were so excited they almost didn't know what to do with them (notice i say almost) their heads were on the bones and their butts in the air with tails wagging....now they've figured out how to isolate them and naw and chew...i had chico in the living room at first and mia in the kitchen to avoid any problems or curiosity, but then mia started coming into the living room to see chico and look at his bone, so i took the bones from them and put them in their crates with the bones.... Good idea or what guys? Mia hasn't had a food aggressive episode with chico since i stopped letting her be food dominant with him, and they're totally fine with me taking their bones or food, they just drop their butts right to the ground and look at me... before they get anything from me i always make them sit, so they've learned the quickest way to get what they want is to SIT..."what they want" meaning food lol.... im sitting her really enjoying them so happily go at these bones, but wondering how much i should moderate these bones, like after meal time? Need some of your opinions....and BTW Since I'm here, thanks so much for everyones opinions when I ask questions, I really appreciate the help, really wish i knew what i know now about buying a pure bred dog and wish i couldve had this relationship with the different folks that i got chico from and the folks i got mia from.... they just seem like they are forced to eat it lol. I gotta admit though sometimes I sneek little bitty table scraps... I know thats bad i gotta cut it out.
