Too expensive, another member here sold me some huge (10 inches and bigger) Elk antlers for 7.50each.

The same ones? The split antlers? My dog needs the marrow exposed, she doesn't like just normal antler tips.

    $21 per antler??

The other seller mentioned has whole antlers, and they're big (8-9" long if not more) too. Great quality. He's where I get mine from, can't beat his pricing for what you get.

My dog doesn't need them cut in half. They would be finished three times as quickly, same can be said for any other bully breed dog. So if anything yours would be worth less as they are half the antler for 3x the cost.

Ha well can't compete there! Good info thanks guys. We're still new at this!

other breeds definitely require the half. We have the full ones too and they're cheaper. The Antlerz brand ranging from small to XL

Hey while I have this thread open, is there a product that works well for bully breeds? I know everyone loves antlers, I have had awesome success with the Churpi Chews, are those a good option in your experience?

Any other products that last a long time? Bully sticks? Like I said, still new to this!

    Thanks for your help!

Well there's your problem. You're buying into wholesale, overpriced "branded" antlers. They're antlers. Personally, I'd rather give my dogs a shed antler (assuming it hasn't been sitting out in the elements for too long) or something a hunter would have otherwise thrown away, from a healthy wild deer/elk, than some farm-raised thing that's been given all manner of vaccinations, medications/antibiotics, tranquilizers, and Dog only knows what sort of feed that can have an impact on the quality of the antler and what substances may be present in them.

Ingredients: Yak Milk, Salt, Lime Juice.

You could not actually pay me to give those to my dogs.

Sorry- not quite sure I understand. Is there something bad about yak's milk? And a little salt isn't bad for the dogs...peanut butter has salt and we give it to her all the time.

Not at all. I had to google it to see what a Yak looks like

I give the yak chews to mine, sparingly, id say 2-3 times a year, they have one now that they have been working on for 4-6 months. But mine are not heavy chewers, obviousy by the length of time they last. So the milk they are ingesting from it is very minimal. I dont give antlers for this reason, they would last my dogs years, and they get raw bones outside already. If your dog is a heavy chewer the yak chews are not the bestnbecause they would pretty much be eatting them, which could lead to stomach upset due to the lactose.

Oh and one $1000 vet bill for a cracked molar from an antler wws enough for me.

I've given my dogs the Yak milk chews a couple times, but I never will again after the company that our local store gets them from had a recall for metal pieces inside their products.

Most kibble already has salt in it. Peanut butter with added salt is actually bad for your dog. It's not toxic like say grapes but I would never consider it to be good for them. I don't give peanut butter because of the added salt and sugar and whatever else.

Himalayan chews are the same way. The added salt is not recommended.

I have only given them to a dog that I was watching for a member here. The dog had some serious separation anxiety and was barking and crying like crazy. I couldn't get 5 min of peace and quiet. She loved to chew but antlers didn't hold her attention. Himalayan chews were the only thing that allowed me 10 min to myself but I wouldn't buy them regularly. They are expensive for how quickly they are gone.

Is there another recall? I know that Himalayan Dog Chews recalled a bunch of Ruff Roots, but i never used those :(
