I’m not a big fan of the animal protein meals - due to potentially excessive bone content - as first ingredients nor rice. JMO..
If your dogs like Eagle Power, do well on it, and it meets your price point and expectations, then this food is among the best out there for you and your dogs.

Thanks, yes, I have them on Acana but I like to try different foods in case I need to switch proteins or if there is a problem with Acana, etc. I try to avoid the "meals" too. I'm glad I posted this because I didn't realize there was so much bone in it. So, that leads to another thought. Teddy's stool turns white when it dries. I thought that could mean too much calcium? But I only feed Acana Atlantic Fish and I give a couple tablespoons eagle pack canned turkey. Sometimes I feed Acana freshwater fish or Acana mackerel.

When I feed raw with high bone content - chicken leg 1/4, turkey neck etc, the poop is like gray charcoal. Probably similar with the meat-meals. Not sure if that is bad per se for an adult dog. Although growing pups too fast with a high calcium diet could lead to structure problems..so I’ve heard/read. I currently feed Orijen (producers of Acana). Great for those who want highest flesh and organ protein content and animal fat short of raw feeding, with minimal fillers. Like Acana, It’s pricey. IMO Eagle Pack is lower quality than Acana, but not inferior. In the end it’s what the what the individual dog thrives on and what we can support.

Thanks. I gave teddy Orijen six fish one time. I went to the store the next day and bought Acana. He went nuts after eating the Six Fish. My husband says he wishes we had a larger property for him to run on.
