    You guys are sophisticated drinkers!
I am not. I will give your recipes a try, especially the watermelon marg.
    I *heart* tequila.

When I drink I do so with great purpose (usually out of a mason jar). Here is my go to:

    Beer Margarita

    12oz frozen limeade
    12oz tequila
    12oz Corona
    12oz Sprite or 7up

Dump non-fizzy stuff in a pitcher. Mash out the limeade lumps. Add fizzy ingredients and stir. Pour over rocks in salted-rim glass.
Also, insulin if you need it.

    My newest favorite

    French Martini
    2 oz Vodka
    ½ oz Chambord
    2 ½ oz Pineapple Juice

Back a shaker full of ice and add all ingredients. Shake or stir*. Stain into a martini glass. Garnish with a lemon twist.

    Frozen Pomegranate Margaritas

(From the Cooking Channel) - super easy, pretty looking and delicious

    Makes 2 drinks:
    1/2 cup pomegranate juice
    2/3 cup white tequila

    1/4 cup triple sec
1/2 cup freshly squeezed lime juice

Put in blender, fill with ice and blend until desired consistency.

Glasses can be rimmed with either salt or sugar or combo of both.

    Start to finish: 10 minutes
    Makes 1 serving
    6 ounces cider
    1 1/2 ounces rye whiskey
1 ounce hazelnut liqueur (such as Frangelico)
    Freshly grated nutmeg
    Cinnamon stick, to garnish
    1. In a small saucepan over medium heat or in a mug in the microwave, heat the cider until just steaming. Stir in the whiskey and hazelnut liqueur, then top with grated nutmeg. Serve with a cinnamon stick for stirring.

Start to finish: 1 hour (10 minutes active)
    Makes 4 servings
    1/4 cup sugar
    1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
    Pinch ground cloves
    1/4 teaspoon ground dry ginger
    3 tablespoons water
4 ounces unsweetened cranberry juice, chilled
750-milliliter bottle sparkling white wine, chilled
    Brandied or candied cherries
    1. In a microwave-safe bowl or glass, combine the sugar, cinnamon, cloves, ginger and water. Stir well, then microwave on high for 1 to 2 minutes, or until the sugar is completely dissolved. Set aside to cool completely.
    2. In a cocktail shaker, combine the cooled spice syrup with the cranberry juice. Shake to combine, then divide between 4 cocktail flutes or coupe glasses. Top each with sparkling wine and add 1 cherry to each.

    Start to finish: 5 minutes
    Makes 1 serving
    1-inch slice fresh ginger
    1 sugar cube
    2-inch strip orange peel
    2 dashes maple bitters
    2 ounces bourbon
    1. In an old fashioned glass, muddle the ginger, sugar, orange peel and bitters until the sugar is dissolved. Add the bourbon and stir. Add an ice cube and serve.

Don't keep your knives face up in the dish drain. You might end up getting stabbed.

OMG Beki - they were SO good!

They really do make a nice presentation if you are entertaining...but they are also delicious and go down real easy!! I think they're deceiving because they don't taste all that strong - but in reality, you're drinking a glass of champagne w/ 1 1/2 shots of vodka in it.

    I'm having a drink emergency.

Can anyone tell me if pear juice is sweet? And well...Does it taste like pears?

Would it be over kill w/ pear vodka and pear fizzy water?

Is there any other juice or liquer that would mix well with the above?

I'm trying to make a drink w/ the ingredients I have - all I have to buy is the pear juice....

What about a pear martini? Or cutting some of the sweetness with cranberry juice?
