all of my dogs sleep with me...my Fosters are in the crates which I have one on each side...that way they don't feel left out. Freedom my oldest frequently tries to get under the blanket but I don't allow her so she winds up sleeping on the extra pillows usually heads under one of the pillows

    Opie - Lights out

I tried to not let my Pitty sleep in my bed with me. But when he slowly climbs up onto the bed in the middle of the night and you wake up to that big-fat lion muzzle breathin' next to you, how can you say No. Trying to get my new girlie to sleep on the bed but she always jumps down and gets back in her kennel... Oh well, maybe when she's older. Nothin like having two pitties sleepin on both sides of you to make you feel safe!

Uma is sleeping in her crate, but she now knows that she can watch TV with me on the couch, if she jumps on my bed, she gets reminded where her place is :D.

No. He sleeps in the kitchen and hallway with his blankets and beds. Only if we are in a hotel does he sleep in the same room as us and that's a pain in the ass with his jumping up on the bed to lick your face.

i do have a harem!!! i had 14 at one point....mostly APBT and APBT mix rescues, a few of my own... i'm down to all my own dogs now.
all the rescues got rehabbed, mannered, and moved on to be spoiled housepets. yay!!!
  11. YES!!! I wouldnt have it any other way. I have 4 dogs and it gets cramped, even with a king size bed! but just knowing that they are here is so comforting. my youngest has her own pillow because she insists on laying like a human and they all must be under the covers.

I have a question tho, several ppl told me that its not good to let "strong" breeds sleep on your bed or on your couch because it makes them dominant has anyone else heard this?

No, personally I wouldn't ever want to share my bed with any dog.
He sleeps at the foot of my bed though, in his own bed. I put his bed in a hallway a couple of times, and he dragged it to the foot of my bed and went to sleep. He did the same with my son while he was taking care of the dog.

I once 'adopted' a dog from an acquaintance who no longer wanted it. She neglected to tell me that she'd taught the dog to jump into her bed in the morning at the sound of the alarm clock. The first morning, the dog jumped into my bed, waking and scaring the bejesus out of me. I woke, finding myself standing in my bed and shouting. When you're accustomed to living alone, and there's suddenly something in your bed, you react. My reaction scared the dog so much, he never did it again.

when we first got eggs we still had the kids sleeping with us. We had to get a california king size bed with a pillow top....nice. But the kids have since moved back to their room and the dog still sleeps with us.

Yep! She sleeps with her head on my neck every night lol.

Kind of a weird way to sleep, but its so sweet :p
  15. They hangout with us for about an hour in bed each night and then we let them come back in for an hour in the morning. Sometimes we'll let one of them sleep in with us all night, but they're all bed hogs and will literally kick us out of bed :)

They all have their own beds...I need the room and don't like all the heat they give off. Taking naps and watching TV is ok..but when it's time for sleeping through the night...my wife and I are in our bed and the dogs are in theirs.

Yes. Just had a foster for a few weeks and even she slept at the foot of my bed. We all enjoyed it so why not?

Oh my goodness yes. Only one at a time to sleep and 2 just to watch TV or play.
All mine have very good bedroom manners, no body licks but they are certainly big huggers.
They will dive under the covers, go to the foot or strech out like one of us right in the middle.
It is usually 1 pit and 3 cats in various postions all over the place, myself and husband when he is at home.
