Cysts between toes

My poor Dottie has these cyst like growths in the webbing of her paw. I took her to the vet and they pretty much said everything my Google search did, and we're very afraid of examining my dog. Has anyone else dealt with this?

Are these chronic? They can be very difficult to treat and sometimes can only be controlled with lifelong treatment. Why didn't they just muzzle the dog to examine?
Best thing would be to get to a canine dermatology specialist and get on a course of treatment.

My dog had them. My vet gave me a sauve cream to put on them and they went away. That was years ago so I don't recall what the medication was.

She's a curious dog. They start looking at her paws so she started licking them. Idk what's with the vet, but there are several in the practice, so we will schedule her with someone who is more pit friendly.
