True, however, who/which agencies regulate supplemements for human or animal consumption (FDA and USDA, I suppose)?
I still believe that I can research the basic efficacy of a supplement and hold my veterinary practioner to a degree of responsibilty when he or she offers such a product.

I was trying to remember the company that I found who had a really good one? Maybe ortho molecular? Super C 2000 is probably a good one to. Vetriscience makes good vitamins and so does RX Vitamin.

One would hope. I'm an RN and it would really be neglectful if I was encouraging someone to take something if I hadn't read the trials and the efficacy of the medication.

I was thinking, Vit C is water soluble. In people, if you take to much the excess is excreted by the kidneys in urine. Where the fat soluble ones ADE and K can build up in the body causing hypervitaminosis. Can a dog get too much C then? Does the excess not pee out like people.

The best supplements for dogs are those developed for racing greyhounds. Dogs have a different physiology to humans and not all human grade supplements work on dogs unless developed for them.
