Crazy Critters Dog Toy for Pitbulls!

No way, squeakers in the head and tail? Sasha would have those suckers ripped out and destroyed in minutes. She's taken canvas "critter" toys like that apart before I even made it to the trash can to throw the tags away.

"Made just for dogs"

So is a bone IMO and it lasts longer.

actually those toys are stronger than you think. I use them for flirt though so no huge long term tugging or shredding, but ive swung mine around on it once and its still hanging on.

Rhys loves his. He ripped the squeakers out, but after that he's left it in one piece he just runs around the house with it, lol.

How about I make a video of my dogs playing with this toy and send it to the company, think i'll get a refund?

It seems like giving a Pitbull a stuffed animal that looks prey would just be encouraging it to go after cats...

riiight and letting a dog play on a spring pole will make it extra violent, or banging a stick against cage bars will make your pit bull go mad...my dogs played with stuffed animals and they didnt kill the family cat either.

I havent had anything like that with my guy. He's been very good with the cats since obedience class. I've gotten him toys of all shapes and sizes and had no increase in prey drive. Actually quite the opposite, I think. lol.

I like mine having things she can destroy. I don't care that she does because I know she has the desire to chew things up, sit there and saw away on them with her teeth, and rip and pull pieces off of it. It makes her happy. It also keeps her away from things she should not be chewing on.

But I do like things that she can't completely destroy in one afternoon, gets expensive replacing the cheap crap.

I have had a few variations of this type of toy (whether or not this is made better or stronger or whatever) that had those flat, round, clear squeakers in them and the first thing she does is rips the squeakers out. She has become very skilled at doing so given the practice she's had. :)

I just don't see this as worth trying for mine, I'd do better getting some hides from Stillwater if I need something to tie on a flirt.

Hunter tore the squeakers out too, which I knew was going to happen because he has an "all squeakers must die" attitude! Actually, it's more of a mission than an attitude! The rest is still in one piece though, which is unheard of around here.

Not with mine. I mean he is curious with cats but he does not bark or go crazy like my other dog did, and my pup has several squeaking toys like a duck, dog, balls, frog, a long thing that looks like a cat.

The only prey drive he is gotten into is with flies

The squeaker thing has keept him interested beause thety are not ripped, he only ripped one duck, the rest are there! He even uses them as pillows

My pup is 6 months (Pit/Lab mix), I've purchased two of those toys from the pet store and it took her about a day to destroy one of them. I waited a week before giving her the second one and that one was gone in hrs. Any suggestions for other toys?

I've spoken too soon. While I was eating dinner yesterday Rhys decided to dismember his little fox crazy critter. It lasted a solid 2 months though if you don't count the murder of the squeakers.

My vote is still in favour of the WestPaw Zogoflex, and the Orbee Ball toys though. and the Lacrosse balls I find abandoned in the athletic field. lol.
