Is it okay to let my dog sleep in bed with us at night and just crate during the day? he does not mess the crate at night for a week straight and is 6 months old

    Welcome to the forum.

I would wait. You can put the crate in your bedroom next to your bed.

    Welcome.

For me, it really depends on the individual. Most times, up until around 9 to 12 months old I'll keep them in their crate at night. I have let them much younger than that sleep in the bed on occasion though. Really just depends on how much I trust they wont piss in the bed or chew something when I'm asleep.

I learned that the hard way. When I first got JC, I put him in the bed with me. Well, he ended up pissing on my head in the middle of the night.

I never put a dog in a crate unless I am traveling with two or more dogs.
