Competition weight pull harness vs recreational?

I'm going to try to do some bikejoring with my dog and I'm wondering if recreational pulling such as bikejoring, sledding or skating with your dog would be best if done with a competition pulling harness or if a simple padded harness would do?

I'm sure most of you have seen the harnesses used in competition, I don't want to look foolish and link one from a poor quality brand :P

But this is the padded harness I am currently looking at, I also like the ones Stillwater has (plus they are cheaper): https://www.amazon.com/Canine-Equip...504837847&sr=8-4&keywords=weight+pull+harness

Obviously the weight pulled in competitions is much more than the weight pulled during 'recreational' activities.
If you know of a better harness please link it!

The comp series are gonna come with tethers and a spreader bar, I would just get a working harness.

I think the ones you're looking at would be the best for you. The harnesses for the competitions are usually designed for the weight pulling carts or something that connects with the harness at low level (near to the ground). They wouldn't work well with a bicycle.
At least I am using two different harnesses if I am going for a bike ride:

    Or for chain/weight pulling:
