How is everyone doing so far?

    What is your major?
    What classes are you taking?

I feel like a dirty old man at school again......lol

My major is software engineering. I'm at the University of Louisville. This is my 2nd bachelors degree. Once i'm finished with this one, i've got to get my masters or phd.

I love school. I'm a knowledge sponge. I like going to school just to learn. Am I using any of my degrees? Nope, but i'm loving being here

I hope you are getting scholarships because college loans are horrific and you never end up making what you think you are going to make :(

So what do you actually do for work?
    Something to do with computers?`

Doing good so far, got my associates in biology in May and am now working on my bachelors in animal science with a concentration on production animals with a specialization in biotechnology and I apply to vet school next year.

This semester's classes include animal products, intro to dairy cattle mgmt, feeding & nutrition, physics 1, and various labs.

Next semester will be much more difficult with intro to beef cattle mgmt, farm animal physiology & anatomy, biochemistry, physics 2, and labs.

Overall goal is to own my own working farm and be self sufficient while enjoying my APBTs and getting a good job that hopefully pays some of my loans along with a modest salary.

I totally agree, you're never too old for school and I enjoy learning as much as I can.

Oooh. school. Classes start back for me on Monday. This is my last year though! I'll graduate in May with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering. *nerd snort*

I'm taking Tissue Engineering, Biomedical Materials, Senior Design, Physical Systems in Biomedical Engineering, and Biomechanics.

Needless to say, I'm not especially excited to go back this time... But the end is in sight!

Finishing up my Masters in Forensic Anthropology for a December graduation. Already have two Bachelors of Science degrees in Biology and Chemistry. Taking the MCAT in 2 weeks and applying to medical schools.

I should keep reading this thread for inspiration. College was never something I was a fan of.. did 2 semesters and dropped out because I had NO clue what I was going for. Kind of hard to keep going when you don't really have an end goal!

And it's just so damn expensive that I just haven't felt the need to go back..

I just dropped off my first child at college on Monday.. it was very hard (and boy do I feel old) lol... He is going to University of North Carolina at Pembroke to get his BS in Political Science (then hopefully NC State Law School... although he is aiming for Harvard Law haha) ... I am done with school but I am a Clinical Instructor for the residents at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (Go Tarheels :-)

Good luck with the MCAT, have yet to find a person who liked that test, and this is coming from people who have taken USMLE 1, 2 and 3, the MCAT is still the shittiest.

Thanks! I'm not looking forward to it. I've been studying for it all summer, so hopefully it'll go well. My getting into the IU Med School here depends on it, otherwise my husband will be without me for 4 years. I'll be the last person in my family to become a doctor. My brother has been in practice for several years now. The problem with the MCAT is it covers such a broad area of information. Physics and OChem are both something I will never look at again once I enter medical school. All they are good for is weeding people out of the applicant pool.

I'm a year in, will get my Associates degree in applied sciences next July, along with my liscensure in Medical Massage. I really love college and I started less than a month after I graduated high school.

I genuinely like school. However, there need to be more hours in a day.

I'm waiting on my tuition waiver to finally go through so I can register for classes (at this rate, I'll probably be going back this winter, it's crazy how long it takes for 2 pieces of paper to be mailed to 3 places in the state, been 2 months now and I haven't heard from the assholes yet)

Then I get to finish boning up on math and biology.. so I can finally mix in a few online classes with... whatever the fuck I'm trying to do.

    Critical reviews in animal science
    Animal therapeutics

Lots of research and I feel old in class! Not a huge fan of school.

I admire those of you that enjoy school! Not me. I was a good student, and graduated with honors but never cared for it. Went straight from high school and got my BBA and then MBA in finance. Worked in finance for 4 years and then became a "Mommy with a Masters." lol..... At least I've got it should I ever need to go back.

Props to all you science folk! NOT an easy field!
