Do you have a pedigree for your puppy, or where did you get him and how do you know he's from Colby lines? What information are you looking for?

Moved to the Bloodlines subforum since that seems to be what OP is asking about.

I got him from a guy who's dogs are pure registered colby pits he sold me this one cheaper because he hasn't registered them yet I want to know what to expect from him im new to owning a pit

He sold you one cheaper because he hasn't registered them yet? How well do you know this person? That's one of the oldest scams in the book that scam artists use to dump BYB mutts on unsuspecting buyers, you know. If the puppies were able to be registered in the first place, the breeder would likely have registered the litter. It's not as if it's expensive.

That makes no sense and he shouldn't be giving you a 6 week old puppy especially if you don't know anything about APBT. What registry are his dogs registered through? Have you actually seen the parents' pedigrees?

Pure Colby dogs are pretty damn rare...

In Texas there not really to hard to find

  12. He's a very cute pup. I have no info on bloodlines, but with how young he is, you may want to do some research on teaching bite inhibition and proper socialization. He's missing out on a vital socialization period where he should be with his littermates and mama, so you'll have to work extra hard to make sure he learns what he needs.

So your great buddy claim he sells his dogs for more money than almost any other APBT breeder on earth, but he's going to go ahead and give one that's underage to someone who has never owned an APBT before, and he's going to give you a $1500 discount because he hasn't registered the litter, even though litter registration only costs a few dollars, and everyone BUT you knows the pedigree of your dog.

    Sounds legit.

Seriously though, either you're making things up or you are the most gullible person I've come across in recent history and your friend is a really good con artist.

"Noobs?" I'm not the one who is new to a breed and just ran off and paid $1000 for a mutt without knowing its pedigree or anything about the bloodline I was buying, remember?

Sounds like you were scammed. Unless you get that pedigree, your dog is a mutt. A very expensive mutt.

Well, since your dog doesn't have a pedigree, you don't even know if you got one or not, and the answer is more likely "not" considering you got taken for a ride and can't see a pedigree for it (that everyone else supposedly can, just not you).

What the hell does that mean?

Put up a pedigree of the parent of this dog.
