    My bully's name is...

    Drum roll....

    ...Chico, sigh.

He was supposed be my old roomate's dog, who borrowed the money from me to buy him, never payed me back and never cared for the dog, so after several disagreements, I moved out and took the dog with me since me and him had becomes inseparable anyways.

I don't like the name at all and I'm cOnsidering changing it, how should I go about it?

Or is it too late to even try? He is 2 now.

We changed Sonya's name. It was Roxanne before... I hated it, reminded me of a stripper or a hooker.

The way to go about doing it is to call the new name and give attention and/or food to the dog. Try to avoid saying the name when you're going to do something aversive, like yell at him or give him a bath (if he doesn't like it).

Is this a new bully?? Pictures please!!

I've changed my pups names before and they were rescues that were turned over they had the same name for 4-5 years and i changed it to what i wanted, it was a bit of a learning curve for the dog about a month of really using that name ALOT and she got it :)

Roxy has had 3 names by 3 different homes by the time she was 7 months old... Although she has selective hearing, changing her name to Roxy seems to work for her.
