I know nothing about them, but they are pretty good looking dogs, judging from some of those photos!

My uncle's boar hunting buddy uses 2 of these and I have been told they are great from him. I would guess they are the type that really need a job, so if you want one just for a pet I would do some reading and maybe ask a few folks who own them to see if that would work. Beautiful dogs too. Thanks for posting all the great pictures as well.

This is the only mixing of breeds I dont mind seeing. They are mixed for a job unlike other mixings we commonly see.

We'll see how long it takes before people start trying to make pets out of them.

We had one come into the shelter and boy was he a handful and still a pup! I would definitely say plan on working the dog if you plan on getting one.

Two different breeds mixing is NOT a hybrid!!! They are the exact same species.

And I wouldn't even call these designer, I hate that name, it's what people call it to sell mutts. My little Sparkles is a 'designer', they call them Shiranians, I call her a Shitaranian... But they're mutts.

A Catahoula Bulldog is a mix who makes an excellent farm and working dog. It's normally a mix between American Bulldog and CLD, BUT a real hogger will mix the best of his dogs regardless to come up with the ultimate hog dog, which is normally a bulldog of some kind and a Catahoula mix. As said, AWESOME working dogs... I would have one if I owned a lot of land, I don't think these dogs belong in a city environment to be honest, being crated all day while you work.

This my girl, she is 25% Catahoula, 25% Black Mouth Cur, 50% American Bulldog Scott line. She runs like a hound, jumps and moves like a Malinois, bites like a Pit, swimms like a Lab. The ultimate outdoor machine at 23 inches at the shoulder, 65lbs.

I've never heard of them before now, but those are some great looking dogs! I'd love to have one maybe someday, if I ever get the time and space for one.

Excellent farm/working dogs use most often for a catch dog in hog hunting and such! It is not a breed and most likely never will be because farmers and hoggers that use them are constantly mixing there best dogs to get the best dog and please dont get me started on "designer" dogs or teacups! Lol

This is the best breed mix for my needs! She has zero dog aggression, which makes it easier on both of us. Whe I take her to the dog beach, so far there hasn't been many dogs that can keep up with her speed, even the best of APBT... sorry :smirk:

They look like cool dogs - I just found out about them myself when researching the Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldogs. Apparently there is some close relation with the types of dogs used in both breeds. (To be clear though they are different from Catahoula Leopard Dogs)

Really hard to find though!
