Bully Max vs Good Genetics

Ill admit, I considered using Bully Max before I got my puppy and found this site. The fine folks here at PBC pulled me away from using that stuff and I THANK YOU!! My boy is 14 weeks in these photos and while the quality might not be the BEST, they show how well his genes are.

My training regiment is as follows :
1. Let him me a puppy.
2. Feed good food. We currently feed Nutro.

That's it. We occasionally play with a flirt pole a few times a week.

Love this picture. His chest and shoulders are solid. His back change legs are pretty stout as well.

I don't know anything about ear cropping, but does the one ear look a little funky? Not trying to be a jerk just curious. He is very cute btw.

Thanks. They both look funny right now lol. They flopped over his head so we got them posted today. They should straighten out soon. In fact, he actually pulled one off (wrapping, not the ear!) And the ear stood straight up for about 30 minutes. I'm taking him back in the AM to get reposted but that did give me hope that it'll work.

Good Luck, I hope all works out for you and your pup.

i don't envy you. my dog's ears aren't cropped but i've been reading a lot about the (possible) aftercare and it sounds rough!

So far it hasnt really been too bad. We cropped in a Friday, removed shrift the following Friday, posted this morning. He never messed with the sutures or acted like he was in pain. So far its been a pretty easy process.

Your training regimen should also include obedience work. Things like sit, stay, come. Also leave it is an important one for puppies as they get into EVERYTHING..

We work on that daily. Drop it was one of the commands I wanted to be sure he learned quick. Its to the point where I can tell him once, maybe twice which came in handy this weekend. While we were moving I was walking across the parking lot with a big box and his leash so both hands were full and he picked up something that was laying in the street. I said drop it and without missing a step it fell from his mouth.

He's good at sit, almost understands down, but stay seems to be the one he's having the most trouble with.

Next time, if you loop his leash through your belt, you'll have control of him while still having your hands free.

I'm glad to hear you're working on obedience with him, as that wasn't mentioned. :)

Oh great idea! It wouldn't have helped at that specific moment as the box I was carrying required two hands but that certainly is a great tip. Thank you.
