Is it just me , or do these guys LOOOOOOVE to cuddle? in fact its almost impossible to get chico and mia up from cuddling unless you do something sneaky like......show them a banana or a treat? lol..... oooor make a scratching noise under the cover?

just a slight underbite too :( but she's the happiest being on 4 feet alive lol... she's a tiny tiny tiny girl , she is 14 months and she weighs 36 pounds

AW she seems like a very sweet girl. Mine wont cuddle at all! She's all action, maybe because she is still a pup. Some BTs with very curved heads like hers are expected to have slight underbites regardless she looks great!

its funny how weight is proportioned, she looks a lot smaller than chico but he only weighs about 4 pounds more than her...

A lot of head like that seem to have underbites for some reason or at least to me.

When my boy was a pup he was nuts too. He is just now starting to settle down at the age of 2. He will sometimes cuddle, but I think its mostly because he just wants on the bed where he normally is not allowed.

I really need to get a dog bed for these two, but they just won't stop abusing the beds i get them...mia tends to eat them and tear them apart and chico will shake the bed or he'll hump it.... any advice?

They sleep in their crates and i'd love to put bedding in their crates with them all day, but I just fear that they'll eat whatever I put in there...

How old are they? Young bullies normally can't have a nice bed because they will tare it up. Some never can. I have bought a few for my male because I thought he was ready, but everyone of them has been ripped up in the crates at least they don't tend to rip up ones just on the floor. I just use a blanket for my bullies crate, but my other dog has a bed in his because he can handle it.

they're both a little over a year old, chico probably 1 year and 4 months, and mia a year and 2 months.....they've even chewed up a comfy blanket that i've put in there...any ideas on what type of blanket might work for them? or should i try one of those sprays that deter them from eating stuff? but you may be right, they might just not be able to be trusted with anything unless its right in front of me

Exercise them quite a bit before crate time, get some flat felt type blankets and put like a xlarge kong in there with peanut butter or something in case they get bored. They are much to young for a nice bed now they are still pups.

can you link me to an example of the felt type blanket you talk about? an extra large kong with peanut butter...hmmm they have 3 kongs and they love peanut butter...i'll have to try this....

Just something flat like this without stuffing they shouldn't be tempted to ripe it up.

Walmart.com: Mainstays Fleece Blanket, Acorn: Bedding

I got a cheap one when ranger was a baby at walmart for like $4 and I took out the stitching so he wouldn't eat it if he did chew on it. I am sure you could just find some at goodwill or something too. Just make sure its strong, flat material.

    Good luck!

    Cute pups :)

Try mixing peanut butter, mashed banana and a handful of kibble, stuff the kong and freeze it overnight. Give it to them the next day, it gives them something to keep them occupied for a while since it's frozen, and they love the treat. :)

Rogue, thanks for the link...I'm definetly gonna try that out, thanks for the heads up on the stitching too

My dogs often get bored and take a few chomps to the blanket, if I catch em at it I go to them and say NO BLANKET and pull it out from under them, I make em lay on the plastic kennel for few days and I give it back, I works until they feel like doing it again, that's why I used crappy blankets lol. Or I will go spray bitter apple where they were chewing and act like everything is fine and when they go to chew some more, they will get a surprise. lol.

LOL not all bullies are effected by it just letting you know ahead of time. My bully will eat anything :/ I guarantee if you work them like hell before bed they wont have time to chew anything up they will be to tired! :)

My boy is affected by the bitter apple stuff. I used it one time he got bitten by a spider. He had a huge hole in his leg and kept licking it. I tried the E collar but it didn't work. As a last resort I bandaged and wrapped it then sprayed the heck out of it. At first he went for it and the face he made when he got the surprise!:D Well it didn't work completely though as he found a way to barely touch it with his whole mouth and use his front teeth to pull it off. :no2:
