Hello everyone Zeus has this issue when he see's another dog. He will bark non stop. He is not being aggressive at all. He just barks and bark and bark when then will make the other dog bark. I just don't know if anyone has any tips for me.

Is he an inside dog, or an outside dog? When my outside dogs start barking non stop at the dog across the street, or the wind blowing  they are brought inside and crated... problem solved.

Sometimes Mollie will start barking non stop, if she hears the outside dogs barking, and I keep telling her to pipe down... but sometimes she won't... so the outside dogs come in, she pipes down because there's nothing else to bark at, and, problem solved. :p

It sounds like a nervous bark to me? This is rectified by getting a friend who has a very easy going dog to sit or stand at the side of the road or in the park and keep letting you walk past. Just before Zeus starts to bark you must check his lead as to snap him out of it and to let him know that this is not the behavior you accept. The more you pass the less of a reaction you should get.

If you don't know anyone then i suggest enrolling in a training school where Zeus will learn that dogs are not to fear but are to befriend:)
How old is he now and has he always reacted this way. What do you do at present when he acts this way ? What exactly do you say and do to Zeus? This will help others and myself try to see the whole picture.

Never pet him to get him to stop barking or try not to talk to him like argh come on Zeus good boy Zeus, to get him to calm down as this will send the wrong meaning to him and he will only become worse the older he gets. Best to ignore him and just quick tug upward on the lead and walk on.

Sorry i seem to have lost my way somewhat:o Erm where was i:confused::D

The key to owning a Bullie is socialization from an early age and the more dogs they meet at an early age the better and more even their temperament tends to be. All lines can be different however and some lines are well known for their excellent temperaments:cool:

I think you may also benefit from calling in a behaviorist as sometimes you doing something slightly wrong can ruin it for your dog for ever:( Not a dig just an opinion:sonn_u11:

What I usually do when he starts barking at other dogs is I get him to sit and say no. In a firm voice. Once I do that he will cry when he is walking near the dog. I am going to be taking him to training school, but the just got neutered. So we are waiting for his stitches to heal. Once that is done we will take him to school. I mean all he wants to do is play with the dogs. He does not have an aggressive bone in his body. Also he is about 7 months old now. And he is an inside dog.

Try to redirect his attention when he starts barking.... maybe with a toy or something. I would try to redirect him. He's a cutie if that's him in your avatar pic. :)
