    Hi all,
    yes I searched!
are there any more recent recommendations on bark collars? I'd like to get your input for the best collar to solve this issue. My Pit constantly barks to come back in the house even when it's 75 degrees out, he has adequate water, shade, food, toys, etc...

I don't want him to be a nuisance to neighbors. What do you recommend for collars? I have used the citronella spray ones before on my bullmastiff and that worked well but wanted to get input from pit owners.

It doesn't make sense. Dogs bark that's what they do. If it's for training purpose I get it. But why train a dog to not bark when that's all they can do. Not like u can have a conversation with the dog. What if something is wrong? The dog won't let u kno by barking cuz he would think of getting shocked.

Does he bark if you take a chair out there and sit next to him? Our new dog cries loudly if he cannot see us. If I put him in the back yard he is fine if I am out there with him. If he cannot see me he is pawing the door and crying non-stop.

Some times dogs bark far too much, i had to use one with Trin. There are several on the market, i went with the Petsafe wireless one, nothing outlandish but it did work. It has 3 different settings, Vibrate, Sound and Shock which also has 7 different levels.
Pitbullmom1 and Nat Ursula like this.

Can I just say, I would personally use a bark collar as a last resort. What other training methods have you tried prior to wanting a bark collar?
