I was reading about Black Mouthed Curs and came across how Phineas Banning would dock his dogs tails so they would not get mixed up with his rivals dogs Tomlinson Old San Pedro dogs. This took place in the late 1800's in Wilmington and San Pedro,CA.My questions are, any body know more about this and is any one still breeding dogs from these dogs?I spent a lot of my childhood in Wilmington and still go to Pedro a few times a year.I'm not curantly interested in getting a BMC because I am lazy and all ready have a low drive bullmix I am quite happy with.I am just wondering if these dogs made a lasting impact on the breed today and if there still around? Thank you
